yeah, i did all the neoprene fitting today,
i will cover everything (inside socket, outside area, between neoprene layers) in grease before the final mount to be sure.

Thanks for the 6mm neoprene tip, i realized after cutting the top piece that it was too thick, now i must shave it, i don't have anything thinner to use.

Tomorrow my Radeon 2900 Pro comes
I'm looking forward to seeing a prototype hold-down too

    done

for first: mach muff is bigger than 72mm(socket dimension of LGA 775)
so you must "mod" your enclousure like that

it can be made nicer but i dont have time and made it just few second by drill

prototype mounting is made from plexi 2mm but final version will be from 1,5mm stainless steel,
    some pics of mounting:

    and insulation

Great job on the insulation cutting, what is your technique for such clean lines?

it seems that duniek's source for stainless parts is being an ass, so I'm bumping this back into discussion.

Can anyone in the US make a stainless steel or acrylic/lexan/etc. mounting bracket like duniek's proposed system, or something comparable?

I do have a backplate, screws, and insulation already.

I had thourght of doing this before but was worried about refrigerant leaking out. I will drill a hole like you but instead have the cable going out of the side having cut a notch in the plastic and putting extra sealstring in that area.

    Thanks for the ideas guy's.

Recieved and mounted as of last weekend.
Only problem is that I was only able to run it for one night because my video card died during my OC testing (I did get up to 3.6ghz from 2.4 tho). So for the few hours of use I've gotten out of it, I'm happy so far.

Bumpage. Its been more than a month now and I'm just wondering how things worked out. I was hoping Aphex_Tom_9 would give Duniek the review he asked for. Pics would be fantastic.

Hey everyone. It's been a while, I had to get a new GFX card, then take my final exams, then move back home, apply for jobs...you know, life stuff...
    anyway,
The mounting system built for me by Duniek has been in place for over 2 months now, and it's been working great.
I can't measure the temperatures in windows, but in BIOS i'm seeing negative 30's.
Haven't had any noticeable issues with condensation or anything.
I'm very satisfied for the price
    Thanks D!
