What is a reliable Vcore source. Everest & CPU-Z (1.26) is so far off from uGuru (1.36), that I do't know what to believe. Same for my clock speed. Some readouts say 3.6 others 3.78GHz. I don't want to fry my CPU.

Hi everyone, I have had an IP35 Pro for about a month now and it has a peculiar problem. Whenever I shut down the computer after about 3-4 seconds, it will turn back on. I have to flip the switch on the power supply to make sure it stays off. When I first flip the switch on to the power supply it is fine until I hit the power button. Then if I hold the pwr switch, it will "shutdown" but do the same.

    I have a
OCZ Game X Stream 700w PSU
    Corsair 4GB XMS2 DHX DDR2 PC2-6400 (2x2GB)
    Nvidia 8800gt graphics card
    Q6600 processor
    Zalman CNPS9700 heatsink

I RMA'd the board with newegg to fix this issue. However, the same issue happened with the second board. But it had the same issue.

I did a search and found other people on the abit forums have the same problem . I have disabled in the wake features in the bios. I haven't overclocked it. The bios is 14. Tried two different pwr supplies and 2 sets of memory and it still has continued.

I'm at my wits end, any idea's?

have you looked at the board diagnostic LED to see if there is a code there as this happens?

try clearing CMOS with the battery out for about 5 minutes...when you put everything back to normal, make sure the switch on the back of the I/O panel is in the correct position and the jumper on the board is set correctly.

Hello everybody, i have a questions for those who did the bold mod, the temperature of pwm in load is about 50, does it worth doing the bolt mod and replacing the thermal pad with arctic ceramic? I was wondering if replacing just the original plastic push pins with bolts would be enough ?

Took out the battery and that seems to have done it. Now it shuts down and stays off. Thanks Ace!

50 under load is fine - don't do the mod. Mine was 78 under load before the mod, 71 after.

UPDATE: as some has pointed out, there is a heat discrepancy in my PWM...so:
    update: here's without running Orthos:

    with Orthos running:

so does this still say something with my BIOS...
... or is it the MX-2...
...OR bolt mod is not set in properly....
here's one side of the NB:

while the other side is not completely screwed in

    ...AHA! Am I getting somewhere?

Of course this would happen now that I screwed the mobo unto the Stacker's removable tray

WHen I checked my voltages with my multimeter uguru read vcore dead on. The vdimm was the one that wasnt read correctly or really too close at all.

Had to power off each time, use the clear bios settings switch, etc. and then try again. After that was accomplished, now working fine with the new bios, but I don't really notice anything different over Beta 16.10.
