    CPU Loop: MCP655 > HK 3.0 LT > ST 320 (3x Scythe G's) > ST Res >Pump
    GPU Loop: MCP655 > MCW-60 > PA160 (1x YL D12SH) > ST Res > BIP 220 (2x YL D12SH) >Pump

I just hope a true next gen card is here by mid June.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

    I wouldn't bet on it.
nv just launched/is about to launch the 9800-series.
So I think their next hi-end is at least a quarter away - which is already Q3.
ATi says RV770 is close to production, but untill mass production and cards
getting to the stores, there's still 2-3 months to go imo; also add that dual-
gpu cards were always launched later - so if the X2 card will be ATi's hi-end,
then there will be at least one quarter till availability, maybe even two...

Oh and also: IIRC, a couple, if not all, of those games are slated for Fall 08.
Fall / back-to-school is the traditional hardware season, so I'd expect them
    to launch then.

I would be really sad if these new cards did not launch until fall 08. That is just depressing. I was really hoping to pick up dual 4870's or 4850's and OC them. But I might just end up with dual 3850's and OC the heck outta them just to play with them.

If ati wants the market share enough, they'll make a q2 launch happen, which means summer at the latest. I wouldn't be surprised to see the cards in June like they are saying simply because 55nm+the extremely good yields the rv670 has+rv770 is just a suped up rv670=awesome product not too far away

Many sites have been reporting that the rv770's production is coming along amazingly, which means either we have another r600 failure or that we'll be seeing the product right on time like the rv670. I'd be willing to bet on it that the cards will be on time simply for the reasons stated all across this thread.

As for the specs, I'd say they're about right, the rv770 is supposed to be at least 50% faster than the rv670. Judging by the higher clocks, memory bandwidth and 50% more shaders (not to mention 100% more tmus), I'd say that the rv770 may be even more than 50% faster. Of course it all really matters on how well games are coded for it

I just hope we have something new soon in the ATI camp, as interesting as G94 is to me, I want some RV770 loving. I hope for ATI/AMD's sake, RV770 will be out sooner than later. They made a killing I'd have to say with RV670, I'd attribute atleast a good chunk of the cheap G92 prices due to RV670.

The thing is, I wouldn't call RV770 "true next-gen". That was my hang-up

It's more of an upgrade than G92, but still not a revolution.

RV770 is in pre-production stage cos the GDDR5 is in final phase of testing by the memory suppliers.

Guys, what revolution are you expecting? You're saying non stop thatyou want a true next gen card. Can you define what's what you want? Something like G80 again?

100% improvement for 0% price increase & 100% less driver bugs. We'll always want more than we can get.

Personally i'd like the next High End (single GPU) to be able to play Crysis etc at 2560x1600, Very High w/ 4xAA (or more). It's about as likely as FUGGER breaking 3DMark06 world records with a GMA950 though.

Any reason why they couldn't make R6-gen more efficient by braking down and expanding those 64SPs with 5ALUs/SP (320 total) to, say, 128SPs with 4ALUs in each (= 512 total)? Then give it more TMUs and raise overall frequency to 1GHz.

    ->
Less driver dependancy, more efficienct SPs and a nice boost for the lacking texture fillrate.
You were not supposed to see this.

Referring to OP: This is quite old, I had those exact details from online although it is one long image file not broken like that (somewhere I don't recall, general browsing) around 9 days ago and that wasn't the date it was posted either but even earlier. Highly likely from a Taiwanese forum since I recall saving a ton of info from them casually searching for some info. Initially, I discarded it honestly thinking it was total shenanigans and the source IIRC wasn't reputable at all, it was called BS by users and OP who posted a large image of those details never posted to the qs users asked again. The expected dates mentioned were also very late, Q3/Q4 not now. Hence I find those details quite hard to believe as accurate until some further confirmation away from rumors.

60FPS constant in Crysis, ultra high settings, AA/AF, at 1920X1200. I'll pay $500 for it.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

I'd pay $500 for TOTAL erradication of more important things that affects gameplay, like stuttering. Oh, and also for a driver that works 100% without any kind of error. You guys only focus on FPS
