Sam Polygon and me have tested the fix in and out,,with no problems...

Something is not enabling the AMD Driver i think...Its funny is that i uninstalled AMD Phenom Driver to check this very issue and that was two days ago ..I just Uninstalled/reinstalled it and it didnt install the First time.....When the Install manager loaded it disapeared...I though wow that was fast..

I checked in ADD/Remove Programs and it wasnt there...So i Ran it again and it finaly installed..It will show a AMD driver icon in ADD/Remove programs when installed...

So now i guess can you check to see if indeed its installed in ADD/Remove program..Because if it isnt there that may be your Problem....i discovered this last week when i install SP3 it removed AMD driver and a few ATI drivers when i installed it...

Hehee You didnt by chance upgrade from SP1 to SP2 did ya?
..i know but if Sp3 did to me it could Sp2 you...

Any how can ya checK for the Driver,, If its not listed in ADD/Remove reinstall it..

lastly when you press Cntrl Alt and then tap DEL for Task manager does it show 4cpu boxes? For CPU usage History..If theres only 2boxes somethings wrong with the driver or XP install..

..Also if the Flash took and your in windows it should be good..That tool downloads the Bios to the HD and then Flashes it live..If you followed everything correctly it should be alright...

For PHENOM 32bit unless you have a 9850 stick with 32bit,,64bit is still alittle buggy yet for Overclocking B2's
Well AMD processor driver is in the control panel, 4 cores do show in task manager, I am on XP Pro SP2. I downloaded the bios from rebels haven, extracted the bios file to desktop then ran the biostar utility to flash.

I checked Biostar and see there was a newer flash utility however I d/l it and tried to run it but nothing happens. So I uninstalled it and will try again perhaps file was corrupted. If 64 bit is a bit buggy I will leave XP SP2 for now. I have not reflashed 228 yet , I am running a dual boot with XP Pro SP2 and XP64, I should load up software on the XP64 partition and see what readings it shows with the same progs, I still bet it will show the 5.5 multi issue

I need to figure this issue out cause I need winrar to run at full speed as I use it alot and noticed on a 4 gb file it took forever, in addition I want full speed not some gibbled system

Gonna try the flash right now then some tv enough reboots this eve

Your Dual Booting XP32 and x64XP....Depending on what OS was installed first ...I believe its Suppose to be XP32bit and then install 64bit if i remeber correct...

Your 32bit Os i bet is messed up from the 64bit partition/Instalation maybe

Ive had that happen when i installed 64bitXP pro and Then XP32bit was installed after...

I couldnt figure things out and then Fdisked it all and Ran just 64bit when i first had Phenom...After i found Phenom didnt like X64XP too much i switched to XP32bit...

I will no longer Dual boot those two Os's...

I believe thats what your problem really may be...Is a Dual booting issue!

when you run a dual boot XP32 must be the first system installed I learn't that the hard way.

I have given though to that and I am just gonna do a fresh format and just either use Vista 32bit or XP Pro I am unsure right now. If I go Vista do I want to update with SP1, Thats my last question for tonight.....

tictac, you usually have some great posts, I went Vista 32 bit ultimate, I hope it will solve my issue as I was just tired of installing and removing software, hopefully if I layer the right shat on my B2 Phenom works proper as it clocks quite well and all I want is 2.7, yeah I know you may be thinking 2.7, why not 3ghz, I just don't wanna go there , frankly I regret getting rid of my x3210 680i system at this point...

but all the love and kind help here is making up for it , appreciate it guys as I usually spend time on oc.com but have been outa the game for a while
