    Now about that SS in the background, use it much?
    The Vapochill hasn't been used in over a year. Still works, but I think it needs to be re-gassed. I used to have a GPU cooler too (see pic below). Drove down to Los Angeles to pick it up from Baker18 who used to be one of the best SS builders. But I sold it a long time ago. Got as high as #4 on the ORB.

    The second photo is Baker's CPU cooler. A friend had one and brought it to my hotel room to try out. Baker's coolers used rotary compressors. You had to plug them directly in the wall socket. I ended up tripping the circuit breaker in the room. The receptionist reset the breaker. Fortunately he didn't go to the room which was filled with exotic hardware. Looked like a bomb-making factory.

    Just so happens that I am an HVAC tech so gas (ask my wife) is no problem.

    Oh, sorry for the visual, just couldn't resist.

    A cruncher gets a proper home!

    I figured I'd get my fastest rig off the mobo box it's been on since I built it.
    I'm putting it in my last remaining YCC-61F1 case and the 3870 I bought a little while back.
    I love these cases! So many features and much space. I replaced the noisy but powerful Sunon
    fans with Scythe 88 CFM fans; they're higher flow yet quieter. They have 9 blades vs the
    Sunon's 5.

    Got the rig back up and running. I'll finalize things tommorow. Then it goes into my bedroom and
    kicks out my main machine back there and gets matched up with the 24" Acer. I can't wait to see how the Acer
    looks attached to the 3870!

    ~~~~~
    I love the way the case comes damn near completely apart. You can get at everything, plus it comes
    with a slideout motherbard tray.
    ~~~~~

    Two thumbscrews and the top comes off; makes it easy to lay the PSU in there and organize/route cables.

    ~~~~~
    Check out how much room is in there! A very deep case.
    looks nice , Scott !
    Wouldn't it be better to mount the fan on the TRUE on the other side. So you have a push-pull config.
    Thanks.
    Good eye, Jaco. Was wondering if someone would catch that.
    After snapping the pic, I removed the clips and went with a push instead of a pull. I figured in the case the rear fan would do enough pulling. I didn't like the way the TRUE's fan and the case's fan were so close. Plus, they weren't dead on lined up. Figured they might create turbulence, and end up with less air evacuating the case.
    All I can say is WOW! Great stuff everyone. This is more like a window box than a farm but it is what is and I'll take it. The office is a q6600 and an opty 150. The lappy is a T2450.
    Yeah, my wife inherited the nf4 when I built the new quad but she prefers the lappy so it runs the screensaver most of the time.
    OK I finally took some pictures of parts of the farm today but the files are over 500K each, too large to upload. Can someone host 5 pics for me?
    The most eagerly anticipated post in the history of the WCG forum !
    I wouldn't doubt if more people have waited more eagerly for things like Fugger's first crack at a E8400 or something, but in the DC forums here, this is HUGE !
    I'm also waiting !
