Yupp, and just to be clear, I don't have the card at hand, but one should arrive in the Nordics the coming week.
I'm not sure if there will be anymore information to reveal then, but I will if I can.

If it gives the performance of tri-3850 Crossfire, ill buy one if i can get it without the water crap, but i higly daubt that.
Any idea of what price range it will be in?
They will be expensive!
Why not just make it 4 GPUs? There's room for it.
Honestly I really don't understand the reason for this?

So I can give it that absolutely useless product of the year award!![]()
Watch, It kicks ass, and it'll sell for under $200.
Even though that would never happen, I think that is the kind of pricing we'd have to see before any of us would even consider it.
Sad thing is it WILL be expensive.
Think about it:
-3 Laptop video cards
-lots of copper
-A custom CF bridge card-
-Independent Watercooling system
We're looking at $500 easily... too bad.
I might have bought it if it were sub $200 ( gotta find something to spend this $600 free check from the Gov on).

Its like the ASUS dual 7800GT.
But if they are just x3 laptop GFX, could one then switch on or all out with a laptop 3870 version?
But i still kinda like the looks, black PCB & cobber heatpipes = win, but i the water "station" sux
I wonder if they could do dual try-fire with these.
Even if they could, this still seems to be a bit frivolous, nvidia can pry the performance crown out of ati's (bankrupt) cold dead hands, because i don't think this product will be a very big money maker.
As Los Alamos director J. Robert Oppenheimer watched the demonstration, he later said that a line from the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita came to mind:
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Test director Kenneth Bainbridge in turn said to Oppenheimer, "Now we are all sons of b**ches." wiki
I want one of those mxm modules lol..
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
Pictures and source: NordicHardwareSooner than expected, we've been served some more information about the prototype triple-core card from ASUS. Radeon HD 3850 Trinity will sport three RV670 cores, all on a separate MXM module. Last we reported we did not know the exact specifications of the card, but those have been unveiled today. The core clock is 668MHz and each core has 512MB GDDR3 memory running at 1656MHz, that's a total of 1536MB (and 960 unified shaders if you want to get technical).
Kinc has served us with some benchmarks with the card, using an air cooled system and the card overclocked to the maximum setting in Catalyst Control Center, 769/1053MHz, he managed to achieve some quite impressive scores. The results in 3DMark 03 has to be one of the highest single card scores we've seen, if not the highest.
3DMark 03: 94,110 points
He also ran a 3DMark 06 benchmark, and even though it's not the highest single card score we've seen, it must be one of the highest with a completely air-cooled system.
3DMark 06: 24,909 points
The overclock of the card is limited by the the lack of software tools and nothing else.
