Q9450 OEM in stock at TankGuys $360

TankGuys is the first US retailer to have the Q9450 available.

TankGuys says he has more Q9450's than pre-orders, so there is stock available for purchases now. Price is a little steep, but what do you expect.... I wonder what Newegg will charge!

Finally, the shipment has arrived. It was delayed by two days, but was dropped of early this morning. We will be opening/repacking today/tonight, so orders will ship tomorrow. There are still some of all of these chips available, so feel free to order, even if you don't have an existing pre-order. Pre-order units will ship tomorrow as well, as long as you have completed payment.

Edit: As far as I know, this means we're the first store in the US to have availability on the Q9450. Not too bad

It's all luck of the draw, so get the cheaper one. As for the Q9450, you can get the boxed X3350 for less money then they're charging for the OEM.

It may not. Can you get the place you order it from to do the bios update. How much more is the DK X38?

Yea, I just looked it up. You could save a little on the X38 at mbpro. Do you have access to a 65nm cpu?

I have no doubt it'll work with the e8400 or e3110. I just dont know if a bios upgrade will be needed. Maybe go to the DFI forum and ask.

    I said the same thing....almost .

So please let me get this straight: Any socket 775 board that supports 45nm/1333fsb will recognize/run/support Xeon E3110 even if it's not officially supported???

Or is it more like should?

Sorry for bein' a noob. I don't know much of anything about Xeon on a desktop board. Thanks for your patience and help.

Some desktop boards (like mine) even have the E3110 on their supported processors list. You should be fine with any board, though.
