Agreed, 7.11 is the fastest out for this card right now. 8.3 brought me down too.

Lets start. I flashed bios with 1.3v above 836 is no og(also tried flash it to xt,same prob.),everything above that is no go... I tried to flash it with riva tuner 2.08,ati tool, amd gpu... It is stable with that clocks in ati tool artifacts testing, but not in 3d mark, tried other things on default the same...
What could be a problem? If I make vgpu will it be like this?
And one more question, how much it takes voltage for let's say 950-1000 gpu?
Temp. is about 70-75 at full load... I will make vgpu mod and flash it to old bios, but I think that there is some kind of other problem, but dont know what...

All right, well, I'm not an expert here as I haven't flashed my card but I'll chime in as no one else has of yet. 1.3v in general should be enough to get over 900. I don't think anyone has used above 1.35v for safety. 950 is really pushing the GPUs limits. And of course some chips simply clock higher than others regardless of voltage, though these cards have appeared fairly consistent unlike some hardware can be.
You mentioned that temps are 70-75 full load which isn't bad. But as far as I remember raising the vgpu really affect the temp of the voltage regulator which could be your problem. I'm pretty sure Everest can show you this temp (GPU VRM, iirc).
What cooling?

With 1.15v I can do 836,but with 1.2-1.35v cant pass that clocks,it shows artifact... Voltage regulator are about the same like core... OC with riva tuner... And I solder wire to measure voltage and it shows 1.35...
Hmm ok. Mine is 1.15 default and 830 is about my limit too with the stock cooler. What are you using? I am thinking about getting an Arctic Cooling Accelro Xtreme 2900 but not sure if im keeping this card at this point...
You are certain that the voltage regulator is not getting hotter than the core? Also curious if you tested it with higher vgpu using ATI tool before you flashed the BIOS? Again, 1.35 is kind of high. If I were in this situation I would probably flash back to stock and "start over" but, again, I'm no expert here. Hopefully others will respond...

I flash it back to stock and it is the same...I'm with stock, but for a few days TR HR-03 R600 is coming...
Everything becomes hotter with more voltage and i measure with multi (1.37v in load),but it just wont OC more than that...
hi quake6,
which pro bios did u use to flash ur card? the hynix1.0 or the hynix1.1?
how far did u clock ur vram?
75°C under full load sounds a little low if ur still on the stock cooler...
under load, even at stock clocks, the 2900 can easily reach 90°C.

My ram was on default and 75°C is with cold (not much) air...
Memory isnt problem,I can do 999 with stock voltage, but above 836 is no go even with default memory
what bios are you modding?

also you guys do know about this right?

I flash it back to original pro bios and it's the same... Over 833 isn't stable...I can bench with 860,but with 1.35 and that isn't,sometime it crash sometime not...

ahh
also, getting better cooling on the vrm's as the stock cooler sent mine skyrocketing above 110c
now with arctic alumina thermal adheasive *non conductive, white stuff* and some small sinks, they barely get past 80... i think that this was the key part in taking clocks a bit higher.

Have someone a guide or something to vmod, vmem on the 2900 pro 256bit. can i use the 2900 xt mods??
