    nice boards

BTW are you using one with dedicated on-board memory chip?

    a small update here:

to help you guys knowing more about the performance difference between a board with / without local frame buffer, here is a simple, yet informative illustration based on identical CPU & memory config, running at defaults:

    with onboard local frame buffer:

    without onboard local frame buffer:

onboard local frame buffer has a 17% advantage, which is matched with the AMD's 15-20% claim.

Though thats nice, you have to go by the SM 2.0 & 3.0 scores, since the CPU score alone can raise the total score quite abit.

Very nice improvement with onboard memory .

I only wish more manufacturers would make use of this feature.
Hopefully Puma platform will require this on the laptops due to energy savings this solution provides.

PS. Can you try same scenario with Phenom CPU? I'm wondering how HT3.0 and independent memory controllers helping mitigating lack of local FB.

After setting up some chilled water on this beast, it appears the chipset is cold-bugged.

    Nevermind.

Best so far with only a 955 IGP clock and 2.6ghz PHenom ( but a hefty 667 sideport mem clock) is 2500+ 3d06 marks, I'm working on improving that before posting anything .. it appeas my igp is a bit of a lousy clocker 1000Mhz seems out of the question for it.

    Cheers

Overclock CPU, get high memory frequency along with high HT bus speed, and you'll break 3k in 06. IGP's loves extra bandwidth.

How low did you go ? I have problems at -25 room temp in my chilled case for the board..
And just air/ normal water on the CPU ?

I ran into problems at 10-15c water temp, i.e GPU overclock became worse.. (no probs at low clocks)

-edit, yes chilled. The ambient temps around here are still in the high 20c in my garage!. I sued an ati gpu block on the chipset.
