one of my E8500 chips here goes to 530MHz FSB on all my intel boards
575MHz 32M Stable with this board = watercooling on all testing so about 45MHz jump on that CPU

Its looking to be the top 3D board available. The bus speeds are reaching the cpu's limit easily, I doubt GTL will get much more for us. Bandwidth wise, the writes are above par (read/write/copy). They can push DDR3 to its limit.

The only drawback atm is vdroop and vmem and moth are fixable with mods.

charles new bios has 2.275v instead of 2.0v but the board seems to be topping out at around 2100-2150 (8-7-5-20 1T) or just over that and no extra vdimm helps....vNB doesn't help either

The 790i seems to be a godsend for people running Wolfdales who want SLi, only fly in the ointment is people like their cheap DDR2 so what you save with wolfdale you lose going to DDR3 of course.

Nice benching and good results of course

    Regards

Has nVidia implented the same 'technology' of the 9600GT in the 9800GX2 as well?

(You know: overclocking the card via the pci-e bus)

In that article they assume that the pci-e 'technology' is implented as well, but there's no graph or data to support that hypothesis.
