    Quad SLI confirmed on Skulltrail

Benches forthcoming, just a heads up that everything is running great and scaling better than expected.

I will also be running benches on 790i with 600+ FSB

I can smell 40K 3d06 coming. Get a second pair of hands to keep 4 pots filled, and bring down the ORB Charles.

I just received a news letter from eVGA with k|ngp|ns name in it.
I doubt he paid for anything as well.

I pay for a lot of stuff, my case, hard drives, power supply, water blocks w/everything attached. Not only do I write stuff up but I am also a developer for several companies.

For those who admire and want to know how it is done, simple answer. Stay busy and consistent and you will get noticed, pick up a freebee here and there it will add up in time to being sponsored, staying in contact and delivering results is key. Doesnt have to be world records every time, having style and depth is just as appealing.

if hipro is right about quads still bottlenecking with these at monster clocks >> hopefully quad SLI can alleviate that hahah

hopefully you get some decent drivers before you bench too

the fact that he receives parts free or not doesn't matter to me. i just love seeing what he does with them and the drooling at the results.

I am no expert when it comes to sponsorships of any kind. However I can recall from talking to some people who are really into mountain biking on how their sponsorships work (yes I know completely different fields but the idea would seem to be the same)

Its not always about getting a product for free "insert field here" however its more along the lines of being able to try the up and coming products, and possibly receiving pretty good discounts on those products that you use. Or if something were to break, get warn out, etc etc etc the company is more inclined to help your needs first as long as you can generally represent them in a good manner. However there are those that are really, really good at what they do and they tend to get free products a bit more than other "sponsored" people.

These free products are not always the companies best, however these things are basically "middle class" products or there average stuff. To put that into PC terms you are more likely to get a 8800GT for free rather than the 8800GTX version of it for their personal rigs that are used day to day and not benching. However they will be more inclined to send you the prototypes and high end stuff before other "sponsored" people if your results and or overall presentation meet the companies expectations (basically saying that you dont have to be #1 all the time.)

Basically everything I just said is what FUGGER said but the way it was explained to me by some people that were "sponsored" in a different field albeit in the same manner.

    Now back to the topic:

I generally do not really care about synthetic benchmarks for the most part as its not my kind of thing. However I can appreciate what certain people are capable of doing in their chosen field and I can respect that. Basically saying, great work FUGGER and everyone else!

Easy to pay for that stuff when the rest of your system is free tho isn't it?

No disrespect man. Just pointing out how you could afford it without being rich. Even if you probably are anyway.

Man, this thread reeks of disrespect and jealousy.

It doesn’t matter how he gets his stuff. Get over it.

Btw, keep it up Fugger. I’m anxious to see the results of such an amazing setup.

    Sweet

Hey FUGGER I notice you still have the old BIOS on the Skulltrail...is that working better for you?

And that sounds like good advice about being a reviewer/developer.
