Project 900 Airbrushed

    Interested in getting any airbrushing done? pop over to

    Starting new project on the 'Antec 900', old one is scrapped, starting from scratch. Been busy this weekend prepping a few panels for sprayin, and 'streamlinning'! :wink: the case, more room for airbrushing
    Anywayz heres the pics so far, few more to follow later enjoy

    Converted the shed where i do my airbrushing, spraying,modz etc;

    The airbrushes/sprayguns i use, iwata/sata only the best will do

    After laying down the primer panels looked pretty bad, scratches and dents all over them, being my old case been thrown around abit :P , out comes the body filler:

    I wanted a flat surface ontop, so i removed the plastic vent thing, that holds dat massive fan (gona use it on my other case, somhow!) of the top, and glued some metal from an old case underneath the fill the gaps:

    Time for the bodyfiller, sandin this stuff is a big pain dust everywhere, shed is gona need a good clean before spraying:

    I reccomend you get one of these mouse sanders, make the job alot quicker and easier:

    10mins later ive sanded it down and its pretty level few little holes, final coat of putty, smother finish than body filler:

    more pics later

    Update

    Had a few hours to spare 2nite, started on one of the panels, heres da pics so far

    Trying a new stone effect, and gona spray somthing ontop like a skull, anyone got any ideas?

    First of spray some gray lines to create a uneven texture;

    Next using a technique called stippling i tink? lots of grey dots! :P

    Do the same with black, then a little white

    Closeup

    Outlining the cracks with black:

    Add shadows, and water weathered look with transparent black

    White highlights, job done

    I don't like stone paintings, because most of them turn to be very ugly and don't look like stone, but let's see this one, i think it might come out really good.

    Its not a matter of asking us for ideas, it is your piece, you present to us what ever your ability allows you to do, or you want to do.

    Painted the case frame basecoat black, you can see in the pics it is matt and requires a clearcoat to protect the paint from chipping and gives it nice deep shinny finish :P Anough talk heres da pics

    This is 2k laquer, nasty stuff, use a respirator ibn well ventilated area. I put tissue in the respirator for extra protection, and open both doors in shed.

    First apply very light tack coat then 2-3 wet coats

    You can see the fumes in the pic and that with both doors open, iam getting an extractor soon, that should take care of dat

    Just waitin for tack coat to dry and ill update with pics later
