    P965StrapTweaker

    With relation to the JP PMem Strap Tweaking solution :
    http://www.i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=4268

    I program a little utility to set Strap values automatically.

    If you start the Application without Parameter the default Values for the
    five Bytes will be as follows :

    R1, FED14030h => 06
    R2, FED14034h => 10
    R3, FED1403Eh => 03
    R4, FED1403Fh => 24
    R5, FED14040h => 09

    On my Asus Commando works very well , also on FSB above 600MHz.

    To set custom values for the R1-R5 Adresses use this Command Syntax:

    P965StrapTweaker.exe R1 R2 R3 R4 R5

    Example:

    P965StrapTweaker.exe 06 10 03 23 09

    If you want to run it each time Windows starts , you can put this custom Parameter start also in a Batch file and copy it in the Autostart Folder.

    Use at your own risk!

    Do you have an error like "missing tvicport.dll" ?

    Than you have to copy the tvicport.dll in the /Windows folder
    And the two sys files in /Windows/System32/Drivers and reboot

    Ok nvm, it works just no visual confirmation that the settings were applied.

    So just to clarify, this sets the strap to 333FSB?

    There is no confirm because the idea is to put this tool in your autostart folder for setting the values on each windows start.

    Normally the strap changes over 400 MHz , the utility applies the values from the 333FSB - strap.

    Ok I thought I'd just try this out. This is my first time changing the strap settings and I think it worked great and was easy. Thanks for making that small program and thanks to all that developed and learned how to do that. I know SuperPI 1M isn't a great test for that but I wanted something quick that would show me something.

    Here are my results:

    After Strap Tweak:
