well peformance not all about cpu horsepower. there are many other area you can tweak to improve overall peformance. htlink multiplier set to 3x. memory divider ddr400. cas 5

ok once you done that. max out cpu speed. next memory speed. memory divider 1 notch up to ddr667 divider.. if stable.. ddr800 divider.. then.. memory timing tweaking. increase memory voltage.. try cas 4
didnt get my pm eh tictac..

Hy all. Recently i purchased an LE-1620 CPU but i don't manage to overclock it! My mobo is a MSI K9N Neo V3 (nForce 560), 2x1Gb A-Data Vitesta Extreme 800+, HDD 320Gb WD SE16 sata2, VC ATI HD3850 256Mb & 450W KME Psu (but it's not REAL 450W output). Even when i OC it at 2.5Ghz (12x208) my pc freezes after 5-10 min of activity. Can somebody tell me what is going wrong here? It's my CPU, memory or PSU being responsable for this?
PS. Sorry for my BAD english... i am from Eastern Europe (Romania)! BYE

This can be various things.First of all, low Vcore.Have you tried higher voltages on cpu?
Second, see if your temperatures are ok, even being a 45W cpu...check your mounting to have sure everything is fine.
Third and the propable problem. You said your psu isnt 450W Real output...well, I think those "Generic" psu are a waste. Most of them cant even reach the 150W real output.
I hope this helps you.
I wonder... because in the BIOS i can't go up on the VCore no more than 1.3V ?! Before on this MSI mobo i tried on an ASRock AliveNF7G-HDReady, an there to i was unable to select the VCore more than 1.3V !! Next week i will purchase a new PSU (Fortron 450W Saga-450 or Rasurbo 530W DLP-535) and i hope that will solve my problems !!! Thanks for the reply Morais![]()

Hi thought i´d join the fun with this CPU´s Got my self an LE-1620 with this Steppning, CCBGF 0739 DPMW Never seen an "g" before only "8" ???

if i'm not mistaken should be no problem with that MSI K9N Neo V3 mobo besides its already a solid cap one, right? should oc beautifully. perhaps 'cool n quiet' not disabled, me think, maybe?? or maybe bcoz u didn't flash bios on mobo with the newest version so that the chipset will recognize the processor instead of reading amd k8 unknown processor? try reducing the multiplier..use 10.0/10.5/11.0/11.5 instead

The mobo is flashed with the latest BIOS file and the CPU is right recognized! I tried to use the multipliers from 9 to 12 (0.5 stepping) but the same things happens! The memory modules it's 100% compatible with the mobo! I think that my PSU it's not strong enought to support the overclocks!!? Next week i will purchase a new PSU (real 500+ wattage) not like i have now (not REAL 450W psu)!

tictac yuhuu...dear tictac. need your opinion coz i dunno much about dram timings. is this right?? or have i gone wrong somewhere?

this is HT Link set at 3X. this dram setting is the best i got after fiddling for 4 hours nonstop.hehe resulting in faster boot-time to windows. why 3X? why not 4X or 5X? what's the difference? and why HT frequency must be closest to 1GHz? i didnt up the voltage for memory yet.just playing it safe for noob like me.hehe

i use WC.. temp load around 39~40c onli
but before this i edi try on air cooling at 1.7..but for benchmark onli
@xixo_12
are use spi tweaks ?
to better score you can run ram with 4-4-4-12 timings![]()
this is another SPI...
i just use simple tweak.. i'm so noob ..no so expert to do full tweak
later i try to use 4-4-4-12 n see how it perform
i'm noober than you my friend.hehe what does SPI stand for anyway? tried to find high and low for that SPI thing. is it still involving tweaking of the bios or is it a software you have to install? what does MEMSet do and where do you download it from?

Super PI.. it's the calculation... lower the calculation..more better...
memset is the software to set timing from the windows without entering bios..
u can search by type memset 3.4
changing timing from bios, n special tweaking maybe u can read through googling..
