i dont blame pete's response. it appears he was bombarded with msn messages trying to get the afudos and he is tired of having his ethics and morals questioned. just leave him be and mabye he will save us some work and play ball, if not... then we will just find the stuff a few hours later anyways

Set FSB Strap to 400 (like it's already been mentioned)
Set Dram Static Read Control to Disable
Set AI Clock Twister to Strong
Set Transaction Booster to Disable, Relax level 1

I think your FSB Term voltage is too high as well. I would lower it down to the 1.4x range.

your CPU Vcore is also WAY to HIGH for a "G0" Q6600. I'll bet you can achieve 3.6GHz using 1.40-1.450 Vcore
Nothing anymore

hi guys

so setting strap to 400 is more stable then auto? i would like to try that out, as i seem to find a wall for 9x multi, i´m running 8x442 stable at 1.437 volt, pll=1.61 nb=1.51, and for 9x400 i only tried up until 1.48volt pll1.64 nb1.55 and no go.

My rams are operating at 1178 5-5-5-15 clocktw moderate transB. disabl.0 at 2.28 bios volt (2.37 everest), with fan on top, i know i could squeeze a bit more juice if able to go 400x9. Presently i cant go higher then everest mem bench 9949 read 48.7 latency with 2.28volt. i would like to hit the 10k mark.

As im only on air, although quita a good flow, do u think i could try going over 1.55 cpuvolt.?

pretty stupid, runing stable at 3.536Ghz but not being able to easily go to 2.6Ghz. lolol

btw, completely off-topic sorry, but am already playing assass. creed!! rld release .. looks amazing yupee

I think you guys are getting a little to carried away with Pete's posts, give the man a break. He is under NDA, if you had one you would understand it as well that he cant really give anything out.

Just let the new stuff trickle out, you will eventually have it, and nobody gets penalized for leaking it.

====================

Anyways, 0219 works fine. Testing tonight.

As i said i have my reasons why i can't which is due to my NDA but the PCB is not the same at all. Take the 2 bord and hold them up in the light and look at the traces. All shorter, more, a lot lot more of them. Letalone other things. BIOS is nothing like what we have right now.

i think the ftp i got the 2.29SE was from china....
I try to keep it hush to what im working on and with whom as i get asked, can i sell this, can i get them this, do this do that etc etc. It's bad enough with the missies asking for stuff and the kids and then the guys in my day job. Letalone guy and gals online i don't really know. BETA once it's passed a testing phase or i catch wind of it being someplace i'll shear it as ASUS let them out but they do take forever to let the BETA i have right now for the MF/SE to you guys.

2.29 SE is old! Sorry

Isn't that amazing? By the way, if you weren't going to share, why even bother bringing up the subject anyway? What are you after? Fame? Just read over the thread again, and you'll see that this thread has been about sharing from the beginning; however, when The Stilt decided it was not a good idea to share the ES version of afudos, he made that clear. You stated in clear ink you would "sort [us] out", adding the bioses were on some Thai and Chinese ftps; when I call you up on your offer, you decide to go bonkers? I encourage you, to report the issue, and I'll encourage you to give whatever info you deem necessary to ASUS... oooh I'm quaking in my seat. Your attitude is entirely opposite to the spirit of this thread. Period.
Yeah as im sick of being baggered but a bunch of low lifes (no offence to all) but NDA is a contract, break it and pay the price. Just think outside the box your mobo came in for once about that! I offered to toy with some BIOS, to maybe try and find means and ways inwhich we can flash to and from keeping it all nice and sweet!

PM, MSN, E-mail, a TXT from a few in the UK, if i find it out there then i will shear it here.

Need more people like you that understand what a contract is.

0219 is a nice clean and stable BIOS. Still found tweaks needed to be done.

I've got some time in the week hopefull to flash mine and stuff. Bord is nearly dead anyway so i will give it some abuse and see what i can find for you all.

pete, yes i know 2.29es is old... but it works and thats all that counts really

here is a better way you can "leak" some stuff and not violate nda. just tell us what version you have and the file name. not asking to upload or anything. pretty much what that does is to set us on a quest to just find it already leaked. if you cant do that its ok too, i understand nda and the whole workload thing. just saying that you had the es version was enough to make me go find one *confirmation of existance*.

btw how do you get these mobo's and get locked into nda with asus anyways? i cant even get so much as an email back from them for anything

Well, I don't have the board so I don't know how you want me to compare them, But they are still the same. I don't see How you think the traces are Shorter? They boards have the same layout. Unless you wanna try to point it out, I can't see how they are different, All the other things one person pointed out are already explained.

well i made the jump to Rampage Formula 0219.

sofar i was able to take my cpu voltage down 2 notches! however i have yet to PRIME it, but everything booted well.

only problem im having is with my memory.
ive experienced some pretty bad bandwith decreases, as well as latency.
here is before:

I have an NDA myself, Things are a little different when you put your signature to papers

Anyways Pete, you do any testing with the transaction booster pull in settings? I am thinking of playing with them, but I am unsure.

The increased GTL didn't seem to help me. In what way should it help? Just stabilise the clocks more or decrease required voltage?

should help stabilizing a higher fsb oc... or at least this was my experience with the abit ip35-pro i had.
anandtech article for the p5e3 premium says their gtl goes up to .7 something with much finer increments which i would like to see in the ramage bios.

@ sup3rfly

correct. just afudos now.

@ giorgos th.

you need to mess with transaction booster and common performance level. i noticed a drop from switching to a rampage, but once i toyed with these settings and made sure its stable, i got better bandwidth than i could with the maximus.

Interesting problem here...

vPLL = Auto = No random reboots + 24/7 stable for weeks and weeks

vPLL = Manually set to the same as Auto (1.61v in this case) and I get random reboots within 5 hours and can repeat as and when I choose to manually set it again...
