I value my NDA, letalone my balls than my ex g/f sorting me out the NDA with ASUS. Also the fine and other losses i don't fancy.
See above.
I offered to make a BIOS or something for ya, not to give you it.
Tell ya what, anyone that adds me in the next day relating to the program on MSN i will dump your IP to ASUS. I think it's highly rude and discrascefull of you asking me like you have.
On a good note, i have 2 more newer BETA BIOS for the bord, i have the bord here right now.
Im about to build my own personal rig back up which uses the MFSE bord and plan on doing the BIOS MOD as my ram worked at the uber high settings on the RF but not on the MFSE.
The BETA BIOS's i might be able to sort you out on as i've seen them leaked on other FTP sites and stuff in China (the bloody norm) and Thialand!
Oh and get the NB cool, cooler the better, more FSB, less Vmch, less PPL, higher clocks and tigther timings all round.

Trust me, it's not the same as anything you've had. Imagen DFI making everthing for ASUS and your getting somewhere with the logical thinking on all aspects.
Then let think more but keep stum on it. Asus Pinotnoir is a kiss ass bord and really is nothing at all what so ever like the above.
Bios for it is more of a headach than being hit by a bus at 90mph. I love this bord so far
Well then Pete, Want to point out the major difference on design besides the cooling system? because everything is the same down to every resistor and chip. So, Just like the Maximus Formula to the Rampage Formula, The Maximus Extreme to the Pinotnoir should do the same thing.

if you mean setting up a RAID config from scratch with disks already containing data you will loose the data. but if you already have a RAID config running and you update your BIOS the only thing you have to do afterwards is to set RAID again in the BIOS: Go to main, sata config, configure sata as: RAID.
Hope it helps.

i guess that Supreme FX is missing in the Pinotnoir....
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Look under the edge of the heatsink on the Chipset of the Pinot Noir, The area is the same. You can see the edge of the "missing" cap poking out.
So there is one x1 PCI e missing, that won't effect anything, since the X38/X48 can have alot of things, Its just the company's choice to add them or not. Their the same board when it comes down to it.
And some of the caps are moved sightly around, That wouldn't effected alot, so techically, There is only 1 cap missing.

Sorry Warboy, but it's 790i...The nForce 790i-powered Pinot Noir motherboard, part of the latest ASUS Republic of Gamers series, is now being showcased at CeBIT. What's uncommon about this motherboard is the unique water cooling solution for its major components. Furthermore this board can work with the latest Intel 45nm CPUs and utilize 4x DDR3 modules, three PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots and six SATA 3.0 Gbps connectors.
So what your saying is there different boards ....![]()

PWM area is very different to.
The reason why i flashed/tested my P5E is because of the fact it simply states "Maximus Formula" under the P5E sticker so production lines are equal.
The only difference are indeed some missing chips (2nd GB lan etc.) but no differences in important parts like chipset/voltage circuits etc.

it's a 790i, ASUS wouldn't put 3 PCIE slots on a high-end Intel X48 board that is toted to support CrossfireX....4 individual cards. Until I see proof, the 3 slots is a dead give away.

Thanks BenchZowner
So knowing its the X48, Think it will be easy to Flash the Maximus Extreme to Pinot Noir? We need a Motherboard Analyzer to see if its possible, But there isn't that much of a difference and I would no way say "its a whole different ballpark", There is way too much similarities in the PCB, and Layout of the board to say no way.
You want proof? look at my Maximus Extreme which is a X38....

what i don't understand is why i cant go above 400MHz bus, if i rise it to 401 the system go and restart and like that when i rise all the settings.
i try to lower my memory speed, rise the voltage of the PLL to 1.7, NB 1.6, FSB to 1.64 and so on, nothing help.
anybody have some advise ??
