Ok, so the key word is OPTIMIZED. There are plenty of games that USE a quad, just not OPTIMALLY.

it crashes when you open or when you try to run a timedemo?

do you have v1.1 and it works normally? only other thing i can think of is a messed up Crysis.exe (possibly the x32 .exe in 64bit folder?)

you could try to reinstall. maybe copy My Games/Crysis folder, reinstall and patch then put old Crysis folder back so you still have your config files.

It doesnt open period. When I click on the icon for that app, it gives an application error.

I will try reinstalling it though.

Crysis works fine itself so it couldnt be the crysis.exe.

as long as you have both files try running in admin mode or compatibility, maybe re-extract from the zip file since they may be corrupted.

any hotfixes or sp's could play foul as well. vista x64 rc2 works, which is what i use

I would love too, unfortunately my 3870x2 died so I am unable to bench with it anymore

It was a great card but I have since moved on to 8800GTX SLi on an EVGA 780i

Sapphire really pissed me off LOL worst support ever, they wouldn't give me an RMA told me to deal with the vendor since it was under 30 days. Thankfully though the vendor (FXVideocards.com) was very kind and actually refunded me the money for the card even though the return policy said no refunds and I believe was only 14 days return policy. Really great store with good prices and I will shop with them from now on however Sapphire left such a bad taste in the way they chose to handle this that I doubt I will ever buy another ATI card again. I mean the card was not even released 30 days prior to dying and Sapphire is already giving me the runaround? Good riddens Sapphire, Hello EVGA!

Will post some benches in a couple minutes with the new setup!
