    From the first picture set I think the top one is just a place holder not a real production board.

    Notice sticker vs silk screened ... be interesting to see which one comes out in a couple weeks.

    I'm sorry to bring you back to reality, but actually your rig sucks in many aspects. And presume about a sh1t is a bit stupid, and those who do stupid things are...? You know.

    So 8x/8x PCIe 2.0, same as 16x/16x PCIe 1.0 . Not bad at all considering current X2 cards are all PCIe 1.0

    MMM maybe I was too quick to order the Foxconn Mars... although I really like it a lot... hope to see some tests or reviews soooooooooooon

    And calm down guys this is an informative thread, not a flame war who has the biggest rig, largest budget or biggest....

    Let's keep it on topic !
    Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

    Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    let me get this straigt:
    X48 = 90 nm
    P4x = 65 nm

    or am I missing something?

    does make sense as after the transition to 45 nm Intel should have a bunchload of 65 nm production capacity free (assuming that not all tools are upgraded to 45 nm)

    P45 won't come to market early, most likely late Q2/early Q3, as the motherboards are still in middle R&D stage. P45 won't add any mayor gains over P35, and Foxconn Mars is hell of a board, so you done right getting Mars.

    n00b has no comeback so he starts slandering.

    Trying to change the subject? Fact is, you didn't know that Foxconn made parts for almost every mobo so you started dissing other members about their rigs.

    good one

    Yes that makes sense, but chipsets are always one step behind CPUs in nm. And considering how much electricity X38/X48 eats it'd be nice that Intel shrinks it to 65nm

    of course they are as customers are more likely to take a look at the TDP of their processor as at the consumption of their mainboard. plus in the past they only consumed a very small amount compared to the CPUs (well... up to X38 xD). they don't have that many transistors so it is not really necessary to use a cutting edge process.

    Don't forget overcloking, less nm = more OC, and you know where we are

    P45 will most likely come out in June judging from past intel chipset releases.

    June release... but maybe Oct '08 until BIOS are up-to-par... we all know never to buy the first revision of a new board.
