Good one, also if they want 3-SLI the PSU fan shouldnt even come close to been the noisiest thing in the rig.

I've been using the Corsair 750W for a while and is really quiet.

Care to reveal some more details what you're talking about?

Anyway, I did manage to build that Tri SLI rig that is very quiet when watching movies (you guys would call it inaudible I bet ) by putting 800€ into wc equipment, using dual PSUs and running a water temp of ~45C - the 8800's don't care and customers are happy

    But let's get BTT now...

My HX620w is super quiet to me. I guess everyone has different thresholds when it comes to noise levels. But if you are rocking a game how in the hell do you hear anything else? LOL

That's because the HX520/620 are really quiet, quite possibly the quietest (stock) PSUs on the market.

Pending review this unit will be in safe contention for a spot in my new system. Hopefully it leaves the X3 in the dust.

Is it too much to ask to have the cables sleeved all the way into the housing???

I can't wait to see how one of these stack up against a TT ToughPower 1000 or 1200 watt unit. Looking at getting a PSU in the ~1000 watt range for an OCed Q6600 + 2x 4870 X2's when they come out, and so far the top contender is a TP 1000 watt.

damn, i'd have to invest in another video card or two to hit good efficiency with a 1k unit though

Its probably the same CWT platform, so the difference should be on details.

As said already, it should be fairly similar, much like with the Tough Power 750W and Corsair TX-750 using the same CWT platform.

There are some really good 1KW units now, TT Tough Power 1KW, CM Real Power Pro 1KW, Antec TP Quattro 1KW, PCP&C TC 1KW, Silverstone Olympia 1KW and soon the Corsair HX-1000.

I just hope this PSU lives up to the HX-name that Corsair's first two power supplies created.
...is no longer working as an assistant HVAC/R-installer...
But, is still blasting 20000 songs of real Rap

Looks like a huge PSU. 150x86x200

40A on both rails too, sounds nice.

I like it. If I needed something this powerful I'd probably buy it. I'll stick with my Antec 850 for now.

And so it is. My HX620 is so quiet, that when I ran it with passiv comp(used to test one P3/FX5200 and so on rig) then I pressed power button and thought:"****, computer is dead, is it mobo or cpu or ram" and then picture came to LCD. I was quite shocked.

I'm thinking Steve (PM at Corsair) "leaked" the HX1000 this week because of the two BFG ES-800 reviews that went out Wednesday. That's what I want to believe at least.

I just confirmed something about the Corsair TX750. Besides the case and the cable out arrangment, it is actually identical design to Xigmateks 750W.

I suspect this 1000W will be the same, I guess we will find out when it is available.

    I've known that for months

The 1kW will not be the same design. It's based on the CWT PUC models, which is a different (and better) platform.

You didn't reveal any info beyond what we already know. The OEM is CWT and it's based on the PUC platform.

    You troll people.

Like the fight you picked with me, Spectre and Yellobeard over in PSU's over the techpowerup review of the Xigmatek PSU. Like the fight you picked with someone over at techpowerup about Xigmatek CPU coolers.

And it (your trolling) is ALWAYS about Xigamatek, which also makes you a shill or just some whacked out fan boy.

I thought you were banned because you started a new thread when a mod closed the first one and then when a mod threaten to close the second, you threatened to start a third!!!

There's something seriously wrong with you.

Of course you can... just ask your boss at Xigmatek what the launch date is. Why not start your own thread with press releases, pics of the product, an MSRP and a release date instead of crapping on this one?

Not quite yet but the way your going I wouldn't bet money you'll still be here come the weekend.
Now just in case that was too subtle for you, I'll be plainer.
Stop dumping on Corsair as they've shown they make a excellent product.
This Xigawhatever hasn't graced my eyes before.
The Corsair HX520 has, in my Q6600 rig, and no, it was not a sample.
It was bought from a store and is an excellent product.
I am also not involved with Corsair in any way.
I have spoken with Yellowbeard a few times with questions just as any other member would and thats it.

oh oh poo you're in trouble now dude :p

seriously though some of these comments are not warranted at all considering the fact you are getting some healthy information from industry veterans here that certainly know a thing or two about their PSUs

i don't know how many of you guys read about the corsair factory tour we did last year. Those guys are simply amazing the way everything is being run, the quality of testing process and tools they use plus some very interesting info they have us about testing their PSU

have a look at the blue oven in the PSU room >> they rate them at much higher temperatures than their competitors. All in all i am cetain that whatever PSU you pickup from Corsair you are not making a bad decision

have a look at the tour
