    Thanks dissolved,
It's cheap and easy yet effective.
Someday i'll get my ducks in a row and have my direct die
phasechange running. Just need parts, i have plenty of will!
    Then i'm sure i'll bag a 600+ core speed.

enzoR, as i recall the highest '03 score in 3.30 was 48XX points by an XT and A64. I'm just waiting to be beaten. The only thing i've got going for me is high clocking ram which really helps the 9600's.

    Thanks Poki, nicely done!
I'm working on the vmod right now but I'll be using mini-grabbers and hot-glue because even though my soldering skills are good I don't want a permanent job nor leave traces of it.

and next is the new all copper HSF. I'll be using your method but I'll incorporate springs in back side, what do you think?

Springs are good for equal pressure, but as OPP would probably suggest... High contact pressure is key!
Atleast i've read some threads joking about it... But i believe it to be true. These guys bow their PCB's pretty hard when they secure their evap heads to the chips.
Just make sure however you mount it, it's nice and tight!

BTW, are you going to hotglue the tips of your clips at the IC to make sure they stay put?
