Yeah...only 5 mins but to even be booting at that voltage? That's nuts. Still waiting to see the first 4.3Ghz with < 1.3v, I think that guy has a great chance then.

Thanks! @ dark22, Very nice chip there

    Larry

Hmm I wonder if an 8.5 multiplier would need less juice compared to 9x at the same speed?

Question; dark22 why does Orthos say 4499 and core temp/cpu-z says 4000? A Glitch maybe?

for 4.5 Ghz it needs 1.41 and for 4.3 ghz 1.375 to be stable but i want to leave it for 2-3 days at 1.2 volt so it will learn to operate in low voltages...

@ Mykou Sorry, I have not used a Heatsink for a cpu in years I hope your new chip runs fantastic!

@ dark22 Your chip is very similar to mine, I have run Blend at 4275 at 1.34v, but cannot run 4275 and 10k fft's in place for long enough yet, so I havn't tried higher yet. Great chip you have there

Here is some new core temperature monitoring software from unclewebb called Real Temp. It reads the DTS data exactly the same as SpeedFan and CoreTemp do. Its still in beta but hopefully will be released soon. It appears that the new speedfan 4.34 beta 40 uses a Tj.Max of 95c as does Real Temp. Real Temp has other features but I will leave that for the author to explain.

i was wrong... it doesnt need 1.375... it needs 1.36 for 4320Mhz...
the problem is that on that frequency my temps are very high!!!
79C i thing is to much for that cpu...
i also tried at 4.5Ghz with 1.4 but is not stable, i thing because of temps...
i saw 90C and i dont feel comfotable with that...
until now i havent change GTL settings but i think that i will need to
and also better cooling because here in Creta the weather is hot...

All 99% of people do around here is run SuperPI and various other benchmarks, complain about temperature software, throttling processors, idle temperatures being out to lunch as well as b-i-t-c-h about the sticking DTS sensors in the new Intel 45nm chips.

I combined it all, somehow, along with my experiences with pointing an IR thermometer at my bare E6400 and E8400 CPUs and have created a new program called Real Temp. The swiss army knife of temp software.

I finished the data logging feature tonight and after I write a pile of documentation for it, it will be ready for download tomorrow.
