So according to Dragon picture the Dragon ones are Elpida.
But these we are not sure for now, maybe if i got off the heatspreaders.
I think powerchips though because they have exact same behaviour (tighten up to 5-5-4-13 like Redline)
but tRFC can be tighten more though.
They correspond to voltages though every 0.1volt gives them 10MHz
    from 1.9 to 2.2
Agreed on the pic. Elpida for sure. But you have a feeling they switched over to Powerchip for the EVO's do to behaviour. So let me ask you this. What would you rather them be. Elpida or Powerchip? And you do know (and I'm sure you do ) if you pull the heatspreaders your warranty is finished.

If someone is gently with them he will do the job. The sticker is not a problem there.
But i think they are very tight on...i am still convinced that they are the hightest binned powerchips out there. Maybe if i find elpida review for 2x2GB i will be more specific.

Let us know if you do pull them because I am really curious as to what chips they are. Just be careful.

Please don't misunderstand me. I am not questioning your gut feeling on these chips. I'm sure you have more experience than me on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but am I right in saying that you would rather them be Powerchip than Elpida? I'm curious because I'm sick of Micron and the endless RMA loop.

so does anyone think its even worth it to get the 1066 version of the evo one's instead of the 800's??

and what about the esoteria's they are rated to 2.5v .... i mean wow... what chips do we think they are using??...

What if they are rated up to there? In case of benchmarking to gain a little
MHz? Yes, and only this. Because if they aren't micron then more voltage maybe
won't gain anymore. Only thing i can think is that they can last 24/7 at 2.5V??!!

I'm running 2.42 ATM.....but I'm going to test lower voltage, as I don't think it's required. I can't POST with any other dividers that I've tested other than DDR2-1129...so I really don't think that all that extra voltage is really necessary unless your board can handle it. I'm going to try higher FSBs at the 9 multi instead of 8 to max the memory out.....but I dunno, this is insanely high for DDR2-800 memory.

another guy i know got his esoteria's in yesterday from newegg and i just spoke with him he said they will only post as high as about 490.. these are the 800's andhe said no matter what he does anything higher causes a no boot or a crash as soon as it hits windows.. he said he's tried 2.5v (on a dfi mobo) even loosened up past 5-5-5-16... and no go.. so im not sure the 800's esoteria's will all do over 1000...guess if i want to know they will do over 1000 ill have to spend a ton more and get the 1066's...imo geil is overpriced though on their 1066's..

Just to anyone that is deciding between these and the G. skill ones check my post here:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...9&postcount=32

    G. Skill does 1066 Mhz on only 2.0-2.1v, whereas the Geil ones require 2.1-2.3v.

Also the Geil ones are a whole £46 more expensive.

    http://www.memoryc.com/products/desc...kit/index.html

The 800 Mhz ones are only a few £ less then the G. skills too.

I'm not bashing the Geil sticks, dont get me wrong. They are very good, but they are too overpriced, at least in the UK compared to G. Skill and OCZ.

As i said is the most expensive but no they are not required more voltage.
1.9 volt is required for mine to run completely stable at 545MHz.

Thats good then, I just noticed the OP got them to 545 Mhz with 2.0v.

So the rated volts on the 1066 Mhz kit mean that its just gauranteed to be run at 2.3v without dying.

    Someone buy me some XD

Yea I might, depending on which clocks higher Apparently I've found a pair of golden Esoterias from what I'm seeing around, as I haven't seen anyone stable at DDR2-1129......

You haven't seen anyone stable with Esoterias 2x2GB at 1129 MHz
    or in general with 2x2GB?

Ok I'm going to try your timings, as I couldn't even load the OS at DDR2-11129 5-5-5-15.........I was running 2.28V or so. These sticks are rated 2.1-2.3V according to the sticker on the heatspreader.............
Also what transbooster/DRAM static read, etc are you using for that?
That's really amazing that you're stable with those timings and frequency....wow.

I dunno....I must have got a bad kit....I can't even boot (sometimes won't POST) at my same settings as the Esoteria:
    DDR2-1129 5-5-5-15.........VDIMM from 2.1-2.35, nothing works.
I'm going to return them for exchange and see if I can get a better kit, but I'll probably just stick with the Esoteria.
