    Foxconn X48 Black Ops, 500fsb/DDR3-2000+ CL7, Nice Performance

    sorry been too busy for months.
    but... finally achieved these.

    Congratz to Foxconn, thx to Shamino to bring us such a nice mobo

    Platform:
    Intel QX9650/E8400
    Cellshocks DDR3-1800 Blue Kits
    Koolance Watercooling
    Leadtek 8800GT Mod

    Pros:
    vdroop= 0
    volt range= toooo much wide
    overclking options= enough

    Cons:
    bios not 100% finished yet.
    fsb overclking need to be improved.

    some overclking results:
    vFsb=1.425v
    vNB=1.5~1.67v

    QX9650 @ 448*10 3Dmark06 (GTL1/2/3/4=+7) (3D Perf not that good, might be OS/Driver Prob)

    really nice perf. break 10min with only 4.5Ghz
    E8400 @ 500*9, DDR3-2000 7-6-6-15 with optimized timings

    and more: perf_lvl=7, 510fsb/ddr3-2040

    perf_lvl=8, 515fsb/ddr3-2060

    at last, pull up clk to ddr3-2080 7-6-6-18. vdimm=2.25v, dimm_cmd_dll= +2

    Nice

    I was looking to get Asus Rampage Extreme, but with this coming from Foxcon and the new DFI, looks like their is going to be some nice looking other boards to consider.

    I also have the Cellshocks sitting just waiting. When do you think they will release this board. I have been waiting for ages for them to?

    shamino is gonna love this
    what was your max on your previous board?
    is it me or is the kit clocking better with every new board you put it in?
    so it sounds like the MCH's are steadily improving and intel can get them to clock higher and higher.

    is this closer to the retail version then the one they showed with the water block and the dryice tube? This board looks really promising.. just i don't have a need for the dry ice tube, the waterblock would be nice though.

    also.. does anyone know a site in canada that has cellshock.. or that ships to canada?

    nice 11min flat which is on par with Asus DDR3 boards at 8x500FSB seeing as DDR3 easily is 15-20 seconds faster clock for clock than DDR2 for Super Pi 32M.

    to compare on Asus Blitz Formula & DFI LT X38-T2R

    that's really really fast bro.
    if i'm benching with my "pi only" OS, should be about 2sec faster

    bandwidth also very nice at 500fsb.

    yes, the performance is on par or even better than Asus ddr3 mobo.
    'coz it can set unbelievable ram timings in bios.
    e.g. with asus mobo, i can set 6-5-5-18 with tRP/RRD/RTP=3.
    but with 7-6-6-18, tRP/RRD/RTP have to set = 4.

    with foxconn x48.... 7-6-6-18 3-3-3 no prob at all, although performance the same

    Interesting - extra tweaking done in X48 chipset I guess

    How's max FSB for E8xxx 45nm and QX9650 compared to other boards you tested ?

    ah finally someone that benches superpi properly

    nice results indeed Vic

    shame about FSB
    that is a very very very important issue they need to work on for dual cores .... they still own in anything other than '06 and with a 10x multi coming very soon there's gonna be some serious fun with these

    try playing a bit with GTL ref clocks

    reduce them while going high in FSB and see if you can get some better clock (assuming you haven't already)

    lol, the board can't go higer fsb by defualt, 'coz tWR/tWTR is toooooo tight if u let them "auto".
    i haven't tried max fsb on the mobo yet, but...for QX9650...tbh, fsb is not that good compared with Asus X38 mobo.

    for GTL ref, i've tried a lot combinations, for my chip, i have to set +7/+7/+7/+7 to achieve 448fsb
