The 0.1.7 didn't work with 9800GTX. After W1zzard@TPU make some change on his GPU-Z, the tool can read all the data of the card. Thanks, W1zzard!

This thing is just a oced 8800GTS... Now the quesetion for me is 9800GTX or 9800GX2?
Overclocking- The dangerous act of increasing temperatures and voltages in a small metal box and pontentially destroying thousands of dollars of equipment, while one's fate is transmitted to a small rectangle.
-X38 Maximus Formula SE
-X3350 @ 3.4Ghz
-Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
-Crucial Tracer 2gb 6400 (1067 5-4-3-12 2t)
-TT ToughPower 750W
-750GB WD7500AAKS
-Creative Audigy 2 ZS
-Pioneer DVR-A09-XLB
-Coolermaster Cosmos
-NEC EA231wmi
-EVGA 285GTX
But in comparison to an 8800 GTX, it has fewer ROPs (16 vs 24), Still only DX 10.0 Support, smaller bus (256bit vs 384Bit), less RAM (512mb vs 768mb), less bandwidth (70.4GB/sec vs 86.4GB/sec).
But has higher clocks 675mhz vs 575mhz GPU, 1100mhz vs 900mhz Mem, 1688mhz vs 1350mhz Shader.
Really doesn’t seem like a great jump to me, but specs aside i wonder how it runs.
does this card have the same compression optimization as 9600GT?
9600gt is 94 so I guess no

256bit bus. Weren't we hoping for 512bit? Or am I all messed up?

Ah ok. Hopefully they also gave it the same texture compressions though.

Actual performance numbers put aside, how can NVIDIA even give this card the name 9800GTX is beyond me, perhaps we're gonna see some 20% speed boost or maybe about same as Ultra but I guess that's the point of this card to get the Ultra replaced with G92 and giving it tri-SLI support for some hope for rich bastards to jump onto that wagon but calling it 9800GTX jeez.

If all people would share opinions in an objective manner, the world would be a friendlier place
at least it will lower the price of the 8800GTX on ebay lol
