Thumbs up Nautilus 500 on Skulltrail

Some Skulltrail rework. The north brige of X38/X48 share the same mounting holes as Skulltrail.

I can bench into 440's FSB now, a pickup of almost 20Mhz at the same voltage. The only drawback is the noise level of the Nautilus 500, it is now the noisiest thing in the room.

Some picture during progress. I cut the bracket from diebond, thin and very strong.

Is the Nautilus 500 just cooling the NB or other parts also?

    Just the NB.

I also improved the CPU cooling too. Tightening it up.

Te case has really good air flow, I changed most of the fans around.

I have one sunon on the ram and one wedged between the power connector of the SLI cards, it blows air between the cards and helps the lower card from overheating.

Nice setup there, I need to do the same with my X38 to see if I can gain any FSB clocks. This should be moved to the watercooling section, I see no chiller

    My bad, moved.

I plan for a chilled option by adding a LGA775 block and mate it face to face with the Kryotech or Vapochill. But I have a different plan, the Kryotech will be fitted for dual heads.

I would be keen to know exactly what you do gomeler as I have the same board as you, the heatpipes+sink get really hot, I really do see a fsb gain if watercooled. Any idea which block will fit?

Really nice setup fugger, I like the way you have divided the tubes twice, looks great, even better under uv.

The guess the regular production X38/X48 chipset blocks, such as the EK, will fit on the SkullTrail Northbridge. Its good to know. Aren't there four chipsets to cool ?

Quick Question: I was looking into getting a Nautilus 500 about a year ago and what threw me off was the use of a Aluminum Radiator. Does it still use an Aluminum Rad or have they changed it to Copper/Brass?
I've seen one person mod theirs to a 120mm BIP and you would never guess.... but I was just curious.

Thanks for a reply- and I'm not trying to flame..... just wondering.

Fugger, wouldn't you be better of if you were using Y-Splitters instead of T-Splitters?

No T's & Y's in his setup is bad, go from one to the other is better. Might see some lower temps even!

What camera are you using? The pictures look great, love the detail.

Will that 80mm fan fit on the bottom left TDX mount bolts? If yes it will blow directly on the ram. I have one mounted that way on the bottom two mount bolts on my FuZion to help cool my NB until my EK Asus3a Acetal Mosfet blocks come in and then I will use my MCW30 on it.

440 is awesome for ST, Gives some hope to those who will be playing with lower multi Xenons.

What is the maximum Linpack 64b - stable speed now , with water cooling in place?
(by stable i mean no abnormal Residuals in some long enough test run, not just no bluescreens/locks )

What are the temps under it?

Thanks Fugger. I will see about getting a blocked milled by Iandh for mine.

Is there anything else that would benefit from a waterblock besides that controller?
