Go to a local store and pick up both of them. That is what really matters feature wise they are close to one another. I use the 400d (XTi) and love it a lot, but I am thinking about a D80 because I have access to a few thousand dollars worth of glass for free, through family. But I can't say enough about my Cannon, love it to death. And the thinking that it is too big to carry around is joke. If you enjoy photography you don't mind the camera.Originally Posted by Nate P.
