Foxconn BlackOPS: Second round! 5.7GHz 3Dmarks

    Hi all!

Today I tested this board under LN2. This was my second LN2 test session with this mobo.

    3D Results were quite nice.

2D results can be found from Xtreme overclocking section.

    Three positive things :
+ I did not have any cold boot problems
+ All tests run without problem (except 06)
+ Really stable motherboard in all conditions

    Three negative things
    - 3870X2 voltage problems
    - 3DM06 crashed about million times because of 3870X2
    - I hate 3870X2

    Setup:
    Foxconn BlackOPS X48
    QX9650 (1.94V-1.98V)
    2GB G.Skill HZ (D9GTR DDR3)
    3870X2

    Voltages:
    Vpll: 1.77V
    Vfsb: 1.425V
    VNB: 1.853V
    VSB: 1.7V
    Vmem: 2.32V

    Mem settings:
    7-6-6-15 / -6-15-7-50-7-20-16-5-8-5-7 / (1T) (PL6)

01- No lod for some reason (Didn't work at all):

    03 (81237):

    05 (36204):

    06 (26150):

    Special Thanks for Peter!

These3870X2 cards are so irritating to play with. I spend almost three hours with 3DM06 without any luck.

Then I almost gave up and thought "one more run". Then it miraculously run thrugh all 3D parts

    Thanks guys!

I'll try crossfireX with two 3870X2 in next month, if it will be available. It is vista only, but still. It won't be easy benching I know..

I don't have 2900 cards at the moment, but I have to see if I can find something

EVen so with driver improvements, it doesnt change the fact that the cards are hard to work with for voltages and temperatures (not just GPU temps).

Nice session SF, this board looks like a lot of fun. Not sure why LOD wasn't working for you, try Rivatuner.

Yes. I haven't even tryed this card with Dry ice or LN2 yet. GPU Voltages drop after every part of test by 0.03V, so when benching 03 voltages go for example from 1.63V to 1.51V. In 05 I didn't see this happening. This is how my X2 works

Thanks! This motherboard is still on it's early stages, but this is best motherboard that I have tested.

LOD did not work. Drivers are not the best for 01 in any case. Nature is so low

Yes, it increases for me too, but it is getting lower after every part of the test. That is my main problem with this card. Weird!

Yes I do know that My previous QX did only 5.3GHz max 3DM06 cpu test.
