Benchmark limit hit by 3GHz Athlon FX-51
Posted on Tuesday, 25 November, 2003 by Ryszard
Futuremark have had to increase the upper limit of allowed submittable scores to their 3DMark 2001SE ORB database. OPPainter, a member of xtremesystems.org, broke 30,000 3DMark's earlier today using Radeon 9800XT (over 600MHz core), Athlon 64 FX-51, custom chiller and the Opteron version of the K8V. The database wouldn't allow published scores over that mark.

Send them an email Opp, they normally reply and i guess they know your name so will fix it double quick
Very nice work on both 3dmark versions,
What's next, will you be playing with EE just to see, waiting for r420/nv40 or better FX boards and maybe the FX53 ?
Or just a well earned rest ?
Regards
Andy
I want to try a NF3 mobo, this would be the cheapest move
Then, if the EE takes me down when all is said and done I'll have to try one.
FX53 would be nice

Thats insane! 9.2k in 2003 which gives you a good lead ahead of 2nd place! First place in both 2001 and 2003! Have you or anyone heard of the athlon 64 xp3400+ which should have a 11x multi and at 273fsb yields 3GHz?

Opp,
You may have better luck with the NF3 for high FSB, I was able to hit 255FSB on the SK8N, but at 400mHz LDT and 5:4...

Hey OPP I think AMD and ATI should give you a little gift for your efforts using their hardware.

30k, WOW! Congrats!
OPPAINTER, come on, you gotta try some 2.0ns (or better if possible) mem on the XT. The way you oced the mem on the XT, you could probably take 2.0ns to around ~1150. 200+ mem will certainly boost performance.
You can do it !!!
You guys....
As crazy as they`ll ever be. You mAd overclockers you are!

nerdish? yes, indeed!
napalmV5,
The limitation of the Radeon 9XXX memory subsystem is NOT the DDR chip...it's the PCB itself and even 1.0nS DDR pieces wouldn't help
