I'm glad you found it, but it doesn't work on my board, maybe it works only on the Platinum model.

There is a hidden menu for MSI P35 NEO2-FR/FIR users, discovered by clon22. Hit the F4 key while

in Cell Menu and you'll see a hidden "Power User" option, but I have no idea what it does, I think

the skew settings may have something to do with memory timings but I have never used them.

    just got my system together
    neo2-fr rev 1.1 board with 1.8 bios
    intel e2180 (stock is 200x10)
    ocz gold rev. 2x1gb sticks

So far I have only been able to get a stable OC with prime95 stressing at 300x10. ram @750 with a 1:1.2 divider. Vcore is 1.4+ 1 or 2 settings up, vdimm is 2.05v. under load temps are 43-45C

tried 320x10 and 310x10 @ 1.45v both would reboot when stressing with prime. temps are about the same, 43-45c. Do I need more vcore? I have been running under the assumption that I want to keep it under 1.50v.

do you adjust any of the north/southbridge voltages or vttFSB? since the fsb is still pretty low I haven't played with these settings much.

On another forum a system builder reckons of the last dozen or so rigs he's built around E2xxx M0 chips none of them would go higher than 3.2GHz and most would only do 3.0GHz, which is pretty much what I get on an E2180, 3GHz@ 1.4 Vcore, it won't go higher and remain stable no matter what voltages I give it. You'll need an exceptional one to hit 3.5 GHz

For me 76 degrees is way too hot, you should reduce your frecuency, because you are gonna cook some component.

Main screen, go to the advanced bios features (second option)

Advanced bios features, go to CPU features (third from bottom).

CPU features when you first go into them.

Press F4 when you're in the CPU features menu and you should see the C1E option come up.

This is he way it works on my current MSI P35 board as well as my old MSI P6N board, it's a standard MSI option as far as I know................
I did it before, but I don't have C1E option, what bios version are you using ??

The Neo2 FR/FIR and Platinum bios are all the same. I've made a binary comparison from v1.6 to v1.8 and they are equal bit by bit for both boards (after doing this, I've seen that the packages are the same, with a txt file that says that the bios is for P35 Neo2-FI / P35 Neo2-FIR / P35 Neo2-FR
P35 Platinum models...). So I think it will be very strange that C1E option is present only for the platinum model.

I have never needed use of a C1E option, now I wonder what happens if sbrehm72255 hits the F4 key in Cell Menu ? does he get those Power User settings on his Platinum board ?

I saw in his signature that he has a Platinum with DDR3 memory, so it's a different bios than the Neo2-FR/Platinum DDR2 boards

I bought a Neo2-FR, then i removed the red sticker on the board, now I have a Platinum :P. They are the same, you can flash your board with the Platinum Bios.

I will try to find the C1E option with the steps sbrehm72255 did...
    Excuse me for my English

The Neo2 FR and Platinum with DDR2 are the same board, and in fact you can flash Platinum bios in the Neo2 FR because the bios is exactly the same. If you download the bios ZIP file for both boards and make a binary comparison, you can see that the files are the same.
But the Platinum with DDR3 memory surely has a different bios, so it cannot be flashed to a board with DDR2 memory.

PD.: For the Neo2 FR and Platinum DDR2, the last version of bios is 1.8, for the Platinum with DDR3 is 1.2

Most prob you've hit CPU wall or FSB wall. To check FSB wall, lower the multiplier, ie x8 or x7 and raise the FSB. No point feeding the CPU with so much Vcore for another few hundred Mhz.

This board started to get a little messy after Bios upgrade 1.8. FYI.
Specifically, it was doing fine @ 4.1Ghz w/ a 9x or 8x @ Bios 1.7. After upgrading to Bios 1.8, it became unstable and could only hold a 1hr stability @3.9 Ghz for 8x or 9x multi. After fiddling with it for a while, I was able to get back to stability with 8.5 multi. A little wierd. I thought it was due to degradation, but that's unlikely since I barely turned the machine on.

    Thanks man!
    1.525 in bios.
    HWmonitor is ~ 1.5v.
Usually I'm running @ 445x9 for daily usage.

    Currently got the following:

    E2160 @ 2.7Ghz
    Neo2-FR official 1.8 BIOS
    2GB Geil Black Dragon PC2-6400
    Scythe Katana 2 + Noctua 12cm

    340x8 = 2.7Ghz
    Vcore: 1.375
    Ram divider 1:1.75
    Ram: 400mhz, 5-5-5-12 2v

11 hours of Orthos saw temps peak at 54ºC

I want to try for 3Ghz (375x8 or 433*7), but I'm not sure what sort of BIOS settings this would need, and I don't really have the time to do incremental testing of the overclock.

Does anyone have any base BIOS settings I could try for 3Ghz?

    Cheers

Is anyone having problems with multiboot? From a cold start my computer may reboot once or twice before properly initiating the video card and giving my monitor a signal. This also seems to make it so I can never put the system into S3 standby because coming out of standby causes the same issue.

    neo2-fr rev 1.1 board with 1.8 bios
    intel e2180 @ 3.0 375x 8
ocz gold rev. 2x1gb sticks (Vdimm is 2.1 which is spec for these sticks)

Just got this board two days ago from ClubIT. Version 1.2. Seems very buggy, but not bad in OC.
BIOS 1.77, 1.30v (if Everest is correct) 4G stable. It takes 1.32v on Maximus Formula. I thought Asus had a much better CPU power design.

BIOS 1.84, vDimm 2.2v, vNB 1.50v, DDR2-1400. It's too easy that makes me suspect MSI overvolts vDimm a little, or maybe a lot

However, this board has a lot of issues. I spent most of the time trouble shooting. It's not compatible with Cooler Master Real Power 750W (no POST at all). I had to clear CMOS even if I switched the two DIMM slots or connected the DVI cable to the other output port, otherwise it won't POST. And those FSB jumpers, man they are troublesome, let alone the bad position. Basically I have to clear CMOS every time if I want to make a change.

How do you set the FSB jumper? I had this double-boot problem when they were set to 333. After taking them off (set to 400), no double-boot unless the PSU is completely shut down.

It seems that msi improved dram overclocking with new biosv. since 1.8

Is it? Then i have to try 1.8. I only can hit 528fsb because of my memory.

MSI Dualcore center is not that accurate. Sometimes it read Vdimm 3.1v while it runs @ 2.2v
I have this board for 3 months and i still like it. I never had any issue yet.

maybe since 1.7x. I saw someone before did 700MHz @ only 2.2v with BIOS 1.77.
But again, I don't think the voltage is real.
