Heh, I must be a lucky guy... Honestly.

I mean, "upper management" (read: parents) approved a €300+ budget for HDDs for that NAS just eight hours ago...

And it also aproved a €100+ budget for "other NAS-related expenses" (read: mobo, CPU, RAM, PSU, in short, everything else... lol).

My chin almost dropped to the floor that moment. I'll actually have to start drawing the thing (case builder here), and planning everything out.

So, what do you say about 3*501LJ, or 3*WD 500GB GP drives? The Samsung ones usually are darn cheap (321KJ is now sub-€70, and the 501LJ is actually sub-€90; 750GB drives are usually on the €125~€150 range), but I will sleep in the same room as the NAS, and you can't beat the Green Power noise... Unless I can program the NAS to suspend from say 12pm to 7am...
