What FSB do you use? To me, it looks like tRD (performance level) depends on FSB and has very little to do with the memory clock -- though I have only done limited testing.
With "Extreme" set in the bios on my DS3R, I get a tRD of 6 @ 4x400=1600 FSB and a tRD of 8 @ 4x450=1800+ FSB.

Yeah, i cant explain why I cant boot into windows 9x456 on mem 2.4 instead of 1:1 until I change perf 7 to 8, but nevertheless I cant...just reboots and kills my O/C. But keep the same settings and 9x456 and change to perf 8, and fires right up and runs stable.![]()
I have all secondary timings set, including tRD, nothing is auto except phase, so turbo and extreme are same on mine, though standard changes something b/c everest write decreases, I dont know what it changes since everything I can see is locked.
Does anyone know the default FSB termination voltage value in GB P35 DQ6? Does the new bioses, F7c,d,e which support E8400's set that at 1.1 for E8400 which is the suggested? Or is it the same no matter the processor? The gigabyte no sensor, no listed actual voltage, no clue where your at settings are annoying. Maybe intel could put a little addendum .. normal for a GB board is +.0?![]()
Hello I have an E8400 on P35-DS3. Everything runs ok, except I can't set 0.5 cpu dividers in bios. I send an email on ggts(Gigabyte support) with the same photo that I attach here with the cpu stepping and the answer from ggts was : "Dear Sir,
Thank you again for your kindly mail and information. Based on CPU spec., there is no "0.5 ratio" setting. "
This mean that unless you have a half multi cpu like the E8500, can't set 0.5 dividers? That's strange, I think I have seen E8400 with 0.5 multis like 8.5.![]()
All E8XXX series have half multis from what I have read. The problem is that Gigabyte support sucks. Always has. MSI is not much better. If they bothered hiring English literate staff, it might not be so bad, despite the usual huge delays in responding to an EMail. A month delay is not unusual. I once had an over 6 month delay. I had already moved to my DFI NF3 250GB.
The only MB maker with decent support is DFI, which is one of the big reasons I am switching.
