This is an absolutely awesome mod to what would otherwise be regarded as a crap pump.

Being an owner of said crappy pump, still new & unused, I would definitely like to get my hands on this custom top for it. I know this was probably a one-off but is there a chance I might be able to buy one for myself?

    Awesome work, that's great!!

You've gained some great free flow max GPM there. Another really simple test is to just hang a 10' section of tubing on the wall and see how far it will push up from the reservoir level, this will be you maximum pressure/head/lift. You generally loose a little max pressure when you open them up, but you never know.

Why? It's still a POS Tt pump. This mod may actually make it more prone to early failures due to more flow.

nice mod and all but as waterlogged said the pump is still prone to early failures and you definitely need to check the head on it. I caN't imagine what shipping from vietnam will be if you start producing these.
