    I've noticed that FAAH units are taking much less time to complete - about 20 min to 1/2hr on my systems. Can anyone verify this on their systems?

    Apparently the latest FAAH work units are shorter.

    Greetings all,

    The batch starting with 3145 are new work units from the researchers. My program that estimates how long the work units will run has split them up more than it should have. That is why you are seeing such short work units. I thought these work units were more difficult because of the number of work units built in a batch, but it looks like the script split the number of tries shorter than it should have.

    -Uplinger
    Uplinger set the figures wrong when he created a batch of work units, which is why they were created with such short run times. We will run through this batch quickly enough, then we will be back to work units with the normal length.

    Easynews look out, VietOZ is comin back with a vengance.

    And my second addiction, watercooling has had my quad down for a couple of days while I start the addition of a second loop (NB & Mosfets). Just waiting on Petra's to get my Mosfet blocks from EK. The system is back up while waiting and has been bleed , it will return to its crunching duties tonight.

    ~*~*...
    Man, I've been worried 'bout this sound coming from the underside of my car. Kinda figuring it was the catalytic converter. Then I found out that, due to a lot of failed converters, the manufacturer of my had "voluntarily" extended the warranty coverage on the "cats" to 10 yrs/120K. So, I took it down and sure enough, they verified it was the converter. So good, I'm covered.

    However, been waiting on their call saying they were done. This place has just re-vamped there hours and Service is open til midnight.
    Just got the call their done, but they said they found a few other niggling things; fittings and a hose, for some pump, that they strongly suggest I take care of. Wanted to know what i wanted to do.

    So, I'm not getting off totally free. I mean, I could have said no, but who knows? I may keep it for a while, and even if I sell it like I plan to than I've earned karma by not selling a car where I know the pump is just about gone on.

    Ah well, close to the cost of OEM x3210! Friggin car is gettin in the way of 'putin.

    Actually, though, its' a lifesaver that the catalytic converter was covered under that voluntarily-agreed-to extended warranty. Would have been a heck of a lot more...

    The is, I'm this close to gettin' a new car, and I definitely didn't want to put money into this one. Eh, would have been hard sellin' it with that noise going on. Otherwise, the car is in relatively good shape; low miles for that year, etc.

    But, I'm seriously wanting this other car that has posssessed my brain. 6-speed, 6 cylinder, 270 HP. I've owned ( actually, I still have it ) an earlier 5-speed, 4 cylinder, 140 HP version and that thing was a blast.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    How's dat for OT? w00t!
