    Im pretty sure he just meant that he got the single sided version using the not so good D9GCT. Hence wasnt too happy he got a "inferior kit". The kit that I ordered just afther xmas was of the "16FD5" batch, which also happens to be double sided with D9GMH goodness:P

    The new kits can't use D9GCT, as it's part of the D9Gxx family, which are 512MBit chips. You would still need 16 of them for a full 1GB, which means you could only build double-sided modules. There is a discussion about which chips they use in the General Memory section and in the News section too.
