I do have a feeling that there are hidden tweaks that will improve performance a lot clock for clock (going by my results vs what other people have got, especially in nature)

Well I think I am in need of higher memory frequency, just toke the card to the guy that is gonna mod it, done tomorrow or the day after. But will get fun to see if I can get above 500mhz on my asus card, or else I found a leadtek Extreme here in Denmark, but abit expensive, but might give it a shot if the asus card is bad

BTW tested my mods finally and if you use two 10Kohm resistors the initial voltages are 2.0V for the memory and 1.35Volts for the GPU. If you'd rather have a lower starting voltage for the memory use a 50Kohm resistor but be aware that you're voltage control will be coarser the further up you go.

Thanks for the update. I'm going to hazard a guess the Qimonda will not like too many volts so when I get around to do it then it will defo be closer to 10K.

I'm awaiting an Sli 780i board for some 8600GT testing today so I am not sure when I am going to be able to bench tjhe 8400Gs next, really I should do it first on the P5K board.

    Regards

Those are highly likely to be software tweaks that reduce the LOD / texture level down, miore so than simple Rivatuner LOD.

Not me, refering to the 8400GS comp where they only tested nature (and got 170+ fps )

From what i hear, unlocking the extra pipes in rivatuner has no effect but slightly increases scores. I have only done +3.0 LOD so far. (No time )

unlocking extra pipes in RivaTuner resulted in no image in Windows. Just black screen forever... even in safe mode and after reinstalling drivers.

Yeah thats what happend when I swapped my 8400gs after unlocking the hidden thing with my 7900GTO, just didn't show picture, had to put bach the 8400gs and uninstall rivatuner.

I did something I said I would never do and used a pencil mod on the 21b resistor because I was too lazy to solder it and I'm glad I did. The more volts I gave it the worse it got and now I have gone back down to 1.87v as at 2.24v it was not even stable in windows. I'm getting sick of lobby hanging on me as well .. it probably has again while I am inside typing this. At least with a v mod you can get rid of it by use of a cotton bud. Unless you have metallic ear wax of course. What, you mean I should have used a clean bud ?! wow, now you tell me ...

The gpu volt mod is ok, 1.88v and no problems, hit 800Mhz before getting sidetracked with the memory.

    Regards

My qimonda maxes out at 2.2v, anything more just makes it less stable.... 2.5 gives instant artifacts lol

On the plus side my card clocks a lot better on the core/shader than yours andy

    EDIT.. new scores

    2K1: 22,904 810/1998/477 1.6/2.2 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9333287
    2k3: 9,064 837/2106/475 1.65/2.2 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5728150

I figured out how to delete results. Go to single result, then select which one you want to delete and the delete option will be right next to "mark as favorite"

What can you're card do at stock voltage, gpu and shader i mean. My XFX does 700/1700 @ 1.29 vgpu, thats stock voltage.

    This might be interesting:
-Clockspeed goes in steps of 9mhz
-Shaderclock goes in steps of 54mhz.

Dinos, have you looked at the hardware.info compo subforum? It's amazing what some guys did with there cards. I'm a bit unlucky with the fact i have to feed my GPU external. Rol-co made an amazing GPU PSU for his card.
Some guys are making ghetto LN2/dice tubes, others are on phase.

    69x/1690 on stock 1.24v

They dont always step by those amounts either i've found.

I'm stuck at 475-477 for memory, changing timings in nibitor gets me nowhere!!

i've maxed out what the vf700-cu and 50cfm 80mm fan are going to give me with 18c ambient temps lol... scores up in a few. Also 6-3-3-3-3-3 timings are only good for about 50-70 points over stock 6-6-6-6-6-3 timings
