I lost 2 very good cards benching in vegas from F'd up PSU, so I might switch to GTS if I can't find suitable ULTRAS. The 30.6K score is the highest 780i btw...so keep pushing. KILLER overclocking man.

At 420x14 fully tweaked with ULTRAS, it will be about 6-700 points faster per clock than 30.6k score on ORB and still on DDR2

5.88G CPU is much much more harder to find

Congratz Hipro, i've 1 question, if i've got the electrolytic capacitors (470uF 10V) i can do a cap mod on 2900Xt??

hipro5, we are waiting what you did or you'll do to 3870X2, those cards just scream for some mods. in it's current state they just don't want to OC and with vmod they actually scream

i dont usually post here but thanks for sharing these mods george, the cap mod is only logical i guess but its giving me an extra 80mhz on dice, i can only guess what mhz on ln2

Yes the shim was removed with a razer and very gently.....

searching up old threads on 2900xt's looking to make mine much faster, i have ordered in the correct caps that i will need and am now hunting up volt mods ect and maybe a custom bios too

Can anyone help link me to good threads or is willing to share information (i,m using the search feature too)

That is PRO bios which can be flash on XT cards and as far as I know,PRO bios is a little faster than XT and I got higher mem OC with PRO,but also better results on same clocks...
