hiya thatguy its still going now whilst i'm typing, now 38 mins now, its weird i had an e8500 and that required low volts but ran hot, and this one is a little hot in my opinion considering its only 1.272 vcore whereas the q750 i had ran cool but required more volts , on a side note i think your more than safe with your ram volts

The Q750A seem the poorest batch so far. Cant get any stability at 4Ghz with upto 1.45v.
Got a Q746A coming hopefully tomorrow so i hope i get better luck with that

I kind of don't want to mess with removing my HS unless absolutely necessary seeing as how things are in a delicate way right now. I will snap some picks when I pull it apart next week. In the mean time, it looks very much like this http://en.expreview.com/?p=142, except without the crud on the CPU.

Sweet chip. Mine is doing similar but only prime stable tested at 9x multi <1.28vcore.

I'm about to switch to 8x and explore top stable clock under 1.3vcore.

Mind if I ask your other voltages - NB/VTT? How about gtl settings for that clock?

I get 9x544.9 fsb on my maximus with my 8400, should do more at lower ratio.

Heres a super pi run at 4.3 @ 1.38v (in bios). I think it still needed another small voltage bump, i was getting a few "this program is not responding"

Seems like it wants some vcore anything past 4.1

There are some Q750 batches that are good.
Q748 surely sucks. Q746 is best so far at 80%.
Q745 and earlier seems to be the best of all
