    Thumbs up Q744A761 E8400 @ 4.7 GHz

    Hiya guys

Finally had some time on my hands to give my few-days-old E8400 a better run on air.
Using a Gigabyte P35-DQ6 (stock, no mods) and some trusty old Cellshock PC6400's. Cooler is a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
with a single 120mm Delta FFB1212. Ambient temp in my room's probably around 26°C - the comp is on a bench table on my desk ^^

Maybe I'll try opening the windows and see if I can get higher its just so damn chilly outside lol
Gonna give it some LN2 friday nite tho, hopefully that'll help a bit ^^

vdimm? you can't get lazy bro

btw, its true, 1.65v+ is very risky for your chip on air, oc could get worse...

i had the same fpo, Q744A761 E8400 and could almost the same... 24/7, maxfsb, max freq 1.60v
it's an avarage or a little better chip...

    Cheers m8

Yah, I know about the degrading possibility but this is also just for fun on a cheap chip, so..

I find it funny that it keeps scaling under air all the way up to 50 % above normal Vcore
