That must be some of that Xtreme Paranoia![]()
Seriously though, she is smokin' hot. Seriously!
Edit - Hey, now the Paranoia's just plain old Paranoia, not the Xtreme kind! They do have pretty good drugs for that these days, I guess! Or maybe having it trademarked is somehow calming.

had the same thing happen to me with speedfan. Got new ram and everything. The only two slots that work are banks 1 and two (the slots away from the cpu socket). If I put any ram in either slot 3 or 4 (the two closest to the CPU) I get a C1 error and it refuses to post. I even got some new ram and still no dice. Out of 4 tested and good ram sticks none of them will post in bank 3 or 4. Currently I have 2 x1gb sticks in the 1 and two slots, but of course they only run single channel right now, which kind of sucks.
Anyone else have any luck with fixing this or any correspondence with DFI on how to fix this?
*edit* I don't think it's killed you CPU (at least it didn't on mine thankfully), but it definitely did something to my ram banks or whatever reads them. According to the DFI wiki a C1 error has to do with ram.
*double edit* here is the link explaining what all the bios led codes mean

not with those timings... board defaults to crazy high 5-7-7-24 with my old ballistix that died for anything above 505mhz... still does it with 1/30/08 with d9gmh... i can manually bring it down to 5-5-5-16, but that's lowest.. and to revert back to lower timings, i have to reset cmos when running below 500mhz

The 5-7-7-24 is default for all RAM which isn't JEDEC 1.8V 533MHz since the BIOS programmers specified high timings so you could boot that divider at even 1.8V and then once you get in you can manually lower the timings. MSI board does the same with Crucial D9s. However, the 5-5-5-16 is quite bad, that's the similar problem with MSI RD790. The lowest options it offers at 2.66 divider for both my RAMs is 4-5-5-15-12 which is not what I'm after since I've ran 2.3V 1352 5-5-5-5 with Intel chipsets only a week ago.

Swiched back to My DFi yesterday, A have been playing with a Wolfdale for coupple of days know and I still think my DFI\6400+ feels snappier and more aggresive in day to day tasks. My Wolfedale was fast in Pi but thatīs about it... Feels good to be back, getting som Cellshocks to test next week. Do you guys use the yellow or green memoryslots?
Also going to flash back to 11/27bios, With a FLOPPY! Did you here that Esau?![]()

I think 1/30/08 is a good Bios but I am in the process of moving right now and my stuff is packed as of yesterdayand I am on my old trusty Alienware Laptop that was cutting cutting edge 3 years ago
so I have not done any comparison with new Bios except look for flaws that were present in others and did a comparitive testing @ 3500mhz with same settings as Bios template on first page to see if it passed at same settings for 8hrs of Prime and yielded same results or better in Sandra & Everest and thats all consistent with 11/22/07 and a little better bandwidth in Everest with 1/30/08 Official and 3500mhz x10 multi , 800HT at stock Board voltage is nothing to sneeze at
Although I am still curios as to why the Entire top Row of Byte Blocks Does Not Get Updated in Bios Flash since all Bios after 11/22/07 Official thats just odd and have never seen that in a DFI Bios Flash until owning this 790FX-M2R.........Why exactly is that DFI??????
FLOPPY IS THE WAY TO GO FOR FLASHING BIOS AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ITS BEEN PROVEN FOR HOW MANY YEARS AND SUCCESSFUL AT THE TASK WITH MINUTE ERROR MARGIN/FAILURE ............SO WHY ROCK THE BOAT?

Hey dude long time no talk, Yeah I am still at the street but I can re-assure you I was never running it.
I am just the coder there that puts skin and vBulletin stuff in it's proper place.
So off to the East coast heh, Where about's?
Hope the trip goes smoothly!!

I learned another new thing... lol. Prime in Windows Safe Mode > everything. I BSOD'd a few times at ettings Ive always been stable on, but this time sometimes after 9 hours of Prime it BSOD'd anyway.
But as I never cleaned my HDD from previous mobo I think few things aren't stable software wise. From now on Ill only Prime in Safe Mode.

So, after checking out with DFI's tech support department I have discovered that using speedfan on this board will cause big issues. Specifically for me it makes ram slots #3 and 4 (the two closest to the CPU) unusable. I have to get this board RMA'ed to get the funtionality of these two slots back.
Be warned and don't use speedfan on this board.

Hey guys, is there anyone running a RAID array on the 30.1.08 BIOS? I am not able to start the RAID setup, don't know why. It seems that the board does not find my 2 HDDs. With the 22.11.07 BIOS it works as intended.
Second, is anyone running 1T timing with the board. I always get 2T, doesn't matter what I set in BIOS.

llenkoll, what issues are you having with your board?
also, another quick thought that in general I could ask everyone.....couldn't I swap out bios chips and see if the problem follows the chip? I have one of these boards in my machine and one in my wife's computer. Or would that not work?
