Lame because no one but a few of the world can get to use it. Exclusive productions are only ever appreciated by those who can use them and disliked by those who can't. That includes most of the world in this case and even me until I get back to States.

Whew! Cant wait to see these puppies get reviewed!

Tony/Ryder, Are these using coming from Sunnyvale? If so, Will there be a possibility of local pick-ups? I can only imagine what it would cost to ship them...

It looks good, and with the avalability of good watercooling, I doubt they would release it unless it could hande overclocked Quads. Plus no mainstream users would use this, only enthusiast's/overclockers.

You can actually get switches and power boards for any one on 220/230/240v, So it's not impossible to use. But as it's only being sold in America, to bad anyway, unless you have a mate in America. Lol sorry to giving ideas Tony/Ryder and OCZ.

No 220 love... that's a shame.. maybe somewhere down the line they'll get a 220 unit going..

    Its really sad though.

I know atleast 10 people in India who were hoping for this to come out.

OCZ, are you listening? :P.. Lol.. I doubt it very much.....

The least they could do is add 220V support. Its not that hard to get good quality converters, though.

I'm in the Bay Area and would rather burn the gas and pick up, rather have the unit damaged by my local delivery guys or have the unit hurt their backs.

110 volt is not every effeciant.

    US should change to 230-240

And English originates from UK, they are 230-240 volt

Guys im going to be very honest here, with all the issue we have had getting this unit to market I doubt we will order any more over what we have in stock.

So you may find once they are gone...they are gone.

Things could change though but I doubt it.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

Only 10 units, and not produced after it is gone, can't be considered a product launch or getting them to the market. It was more of to "show" that they made them and to repair OCZ's tainted image because of overhyping the CryoZ's features and especially the PRICE.

OCZ spent so much money on research and development, and marketing - but only produced 10 units. They will probably not get their money back by just selling 10 units. So why would a company do this?? You guys decide.......coz these 10 units are not aimed to produce profit. Isn't producing profit and accumulating wealth a firm's ultimate goal?

In the end, what I am trying to say is - these 10 units do have a hidden agenda.

    KCNYC,

There are more than 10 units. 10 units is the first batch available. Tony is saying that when all the units we have are gone, then they are gone, but it is a lot more than 10 units.

    Speaking of hidden agenda's.......what's yours?

If there is alot more then, just say it. I am not trying to damage your reputation or anything, but that is what I got from the info Tony was giving in the post above - there was ONLY 10 units, and that was the end of the run.

From this thread, what I gathered was - 10 units, and no more. For me that is hardly a product launch. This launch has similarities to the X800 XTPE, although they had way much more units at launch time than 10!

Well I have no hidden agenda, just speaking my mind dude. I am not affiliated with anyone or any other company. Just speaking my mind, so please don't go on the offensive on me. I was there when the CryoZ was shown at the Bellagio Suite, 2 years ago I think. Was one of the first few that took pictures of it. I want to see this product succeed, coz I am also a phase change user and have 2 Mach 2 GTs, and 7 Mach1s at one point in time - and I thought they were ing expensive! If CryoZ lives up to expectations, then fantastic - mark my words, I will buy one at the price you SAID it would be last time. BTW what is the price range?

    Peace......

how about using a 220 to 110v converter?
for the die hard fans it should be possible to run it even in a 220 zone that way, even tho the different hz rate might reduce performance a bit.

too bad its only 10 units... hope to see some results soon

    Typical English eh?

220v is a lot more efficient than 110v

Ohh my god here we go with the mis-reading.

There are more than 10 units...a huge amount more.
I said we are testing them by hand, there will be a small amount ready next week and as more are tested more will be released for sale.

Please understand we may have less than 10 units available to start,
Now you have to read the end part that says to start

how did you get 10 units from that?

Looking forward to reviews........ Hopefully someone that knows what they're doing will get one to test publicly on a variety of chips.

We are not shipping to review sites guys, with the units coming available a few each week or so we thought it best to push them straight to sale.

If needed I can have one tested and I know Ryder is getting one for support purposes.

Man folks can't read. Tony you're better off just posting the data on a closed thread on your own site. The whining makes even me sick.

And to your EU guys... you have products we can't buy here, I don't sit around thread crapping on those threads or posting moans on the UK or France/Belgian web sites (only languages I speak).

Give it a rest, it is what it is and future statements will clarify further. Thread makes me grumpy lol.
