Bikerz:

I would appreciate it if you would not post my Email address for every spam trawler on the web to pick up. I won't beat around the bush with this. I am skeptical that the headers are damaged. If they were you would likely see directly associated components like the manual power and reset buttons not working. I have been doing this line of work for a long time and such specific forms of damage are exceedingly rare. That said, anything is possible, so I won't entirely discount the possibility. I don't mean to come across as belittling, but are you sure you hooked up the leads properly? Case manufacturers do not adhere to a standardized cable marking system.

Recommended memory lists on our website. A difficult topic. Suffice to say I only attach as much value to such lists as user experiences show me. Perhaps it is not the strongest answer, but only take them at face value.

DFI RMA policy. To be clear MBPro is a distributor and the terms and conditions they offer are relevent to users who purchase boards from them. They are an American company and their conditions do not apply here in Europe. If a person purchases a board at a European company they are subject to the terms and conditions of service of said company if they seek service thru them. If a European wishes service on his product directly thru DFI NL BV, they becomes subject to the terms and conditions of this branch office. Simple common sense really.

In any event you have indicated that the supplier is willing to take back the product for service. Just stick with that process and it should see you thru.
