P States work just like multipliers once you figure them out. Figuring them out is the hard part.
Unganged memory mode is basically what the X2 uses. Just means the memory bandwidth is split into 2 64k channels, ganged combines the 2 channels into a 128k channel.
Just thinking about it though, My memory arrived about 4 days before my k9a2 did, so I ended up burning it in on my old ASRock ALive nf7g HDReady, with the X2 4200+. Then I burned in the k9a2 plat with the X2 4200+ and memory. Then just a couple weeks ago I got ahold of the 9600BE, more or less switched out the procs set things properly in the BIOS and had almost no issues. Bout the only issue I had was needing to reinstall Windows due to it going batty after the change in NB and HT speeds between the two procs.
Huh, would of helped if you said you were running Vista. The other diff would be I'm running XP Pro
