Not 650 MHZ Club - But damn good for an AMD Opteron 1212 (2GHZ Chip)

If I run single channel (1 stick) I can pass 8 hours of Orthos @ 300x10 1200MHz Mem DDR speed. That takes 1.5125 volts to the proc to get the memory controller to handle it though.

The setting below is also 8 hours Orthos stable (8 is good enough for me) and it also requires 1.5+ volts to the processor (Normally takes 1.3~1.35) to get it stable in dual channel @ 280x10 932MHZ DDR Speed.

Not bad for a AMD Box. The Memory is PC9600 Flex - I've only had 1 day to play with it. So perhaps I can do better with more playing. The limiting factor right now is the lack of CPU volts available. Since I'm running water I can give this little Operton alot of juice - Which it really wants when you start overclocking the onboard memory controller. I can run 1.5625 (Max Vcore for an Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe Wifi) I temps barely sip @ 60C. Which ain't bad at all considering how much overvolting that is. If I can find a way to volt mod this baby I'm sure I could take a shot at this club :-).

P.S. Does anyone has a good Alpha Timing Table or something that you could post so I can see what the Alpha timings for the Flex 1200 are supposed to be. I don't think my board is detecting them correctly (Especially tRC @ 19!?!) - If anyone could post up a MemSet3.4 or 3. whatever screenie that would be great.

Sorry for hijacking the thread. Congrats to all you who made it.

    See Ya,
    Jealous AMD-Fanboy

Kidding! About the Fanboy part anyway.. I'm just poor.

Why does memset say 666mhz and CPUZ only say 466mhz? Usually CPUZ is the standard checking tool, so that I dont understand.

When I am ramping up my frequency I relax tRC to 22, but for 24/7 use i tighten it up to 16.

I also noticed your tRAS is 18, I think thats on the EPP for these things, but I run 15 if I am CAS5 or 12-10 if I am CAS4.

It is micron D9GMH so look around at what other users are doing with they're RAM and try and find some memset shots, it doesn't matter so much if they're Flex or not, it what's on the inside.

@ Saturas - They're GMH, not a bad kit to. Not to expensive either.

On AMD AM2 boards you have 4 mem settings DDR 400/533/666/800. So the divider is set to 666 bet the effective memory speed is 466(x2 for DDR) = 932. It's pretty good for a board that is supposed to max out at 800.
