Imagine what the 2006 score would be on SLI/yorkfield with 450+ fsb on 13x or even 480+fsb with 12x like these p35/x38 xfire guys are doing. 2006 loves all that extra bandwidth
Give me 480fsb on SLI and I will show you 31k at same cpu mhz/card clocks as 30k run...I am working on it
Can pull 9800 cpu score in 2006 with p35/x38 running at full tilt compared to the 9400 cpu score at the same cpu mhz I ran on the 780i.
I am grateful for any yorkfield support with SLI, so I'll take whatever I can get.
    Congrats .

What is the highest fsb your EVGA 780i does? Just wondering as i have just bought 1.

    @ Kingpin,

That 333FSB is the only "not insane" thing on that 30,6K bench...
Isn't there a way to make at least 450FSB? I know the striker extreme (680i) could make it... The 780i should make it too... Maybe some more bios revisions needed...

What?? 5640mhz?? We were running faster than that when I was there benching with you...what are you doing binning your chips for lower mhz now?? . I tried about 7 chips on LN2 to find this one, how many for you? The average chip out of all of those did almost 5700mhz on my unit. I think BILL has lost his golden touch . We will see when my gift gets here. He promised me you didnt touch it...true??
You know your 1340mhz ATI card is VERY VERY special .

On air it does about 450-460 for 3D with some good solid tuning

I am higher than 333fsb in my runs, and NVIDIA chipset isnt 100% about "FSB", there are other ways to get everything up to speed decently that go back to A64 days.

Nice work Vince and Charles ... by the way I loved the video of the two of you at CES 2008 on youtube

you both are really good on camera

Vince - I was not surprised at your blunt answer to the question about if you knew anyone that lost fingers to LN2 ... shocking? not really... I think I'll stick to D-ICE and SS or Cascade when I start OCing hardcore

Charles - you get that PM I sent you... I know you are probably buried in PMs so I will most likely wait it out for a response...

Once again congrats on the WR and I am not surprised that the two of you did it together as you are great collaborating together

Heh, heh, heh....It's NOT mercy as you claim.....
I'm just interested to compare my old 2k6 bench with the VGAs at 1150MHz with Vince's setup (SLI) with the York now at the EXACT same frequencies.....
