Probably Tcase.
FYI, for C2Ds, Tcase is a single thermal diode located within the CPU die between the cores and is the sensor your BIOS reads. Not to be confused with Tjunction, which is a thermal sensor integrated within each core.
According to HWMonitor, my "CPUTIN" reads 6c higher than my Q6600's core temperatures. It should be the other way around (if it actually is Tcase) because Tjunction should always read at least 10c higher than Tcase, especially under load. But that's probably more the fault of my BIOS than HWMonitor because my P5K Deluxe mobo is reading my CPU temp 20c above ambient at idle.![]()
Having the ability to create offsets to correct my problem would be great.![]()
