Nice score, if that is an 680, which i gather it is, thats awesome. can you run it at again but at stock resolution? what about with the cpu overclocked as well?

they might be faster. they could have lower latency without using the CF bridges. maybe the memory is even shared between the GPU's, although i doubt it.

It's interesting that ATI's card is a true dual core chip...and nvidia a card the size of a boat with two pcbs.

Will this be a 1Gb card? If so, it will probably end up in my rig.

Can they even fit that much memory on a PCB that busy?

it'll be 1gb gddr4, and that's the reason why the pcb is so long (2 gpus with 1gb of memory not to mention the necessary hardware xfire bridge)

You also have to notice they've changed the Bios as the date is 1/14/08.
The one in the OP is dated 12/25/07

Yeah really.... I get a smidge over 13k on my e4300/3870 setup. Definitely seems like the R680 scales better than a crossfire 3870 setup. 3DMark scores are great, but Im hoping that you still get a benefit running the R680 on a game that has no crossfire profile written for it (common with games just released). I havn't read up too much on R680 info though

ivanqu first of all thanks for the info, there's just one thing that keeps niggling at me. Nvidia owners are misquoting the performance of this card by ignoring the rez you have used..... so please run the card at 1280x1024.
this is also information that would help us all with r670 crossfire and the free version of 3dmark06(as we can only run 1280x1024).

thanks again man for the info........
