Paint a Lian Li PC-V1100 Black (Inside).

Hey. I think i will be painting my Lian Li PC-V1100B Plus II black, inside to get rid of the chrome effect. But I am not shure if I should do it or not.

What looks best? Chrome or black finish?

And what's the best way to paint it?

I am also going to innstall some watercooling parts, so it should fit togehter with that to.

And I have a question about the Swiftech Radbox. Any reviews or pics of it? I could only find information about it on Swiftech.com and shops, but not any reviews or pics of what the package contains. Do you know of anything?

First and foremost is to mention what watercooling parts you will put in the case. Based on that you could decide if there is the need for case modding (that implies metalwork). If there is the need to mod your case is recommended to be done prior to painting. For painting the inside black try to get the interior parts painted in a car bodyshop.

Whichever you feel looks better from pictures of people who have/haven't painted the inside of their case.

Powder coated, but for a cheaper solution you can use metal primer and spray paint.

Lian-LI cases are a pain to paint, the only good way to do it will be to completely disassemble the entire case and remove the clear anodizing. It can be done by hand easily enough, just make sure you get everything, if you don't the paint will not stick to it properly and will fall off in flakes. If you would like to try sand blasting it, you will need to use cork or another soft material, regular sand is to coarse and will take as much aluminum away as it does paint/anodizing. I don't want to discourage you from doing it, but you must take the time to do it right or you will not be happy in the end. Here is a picture of my case that I painted white inside. Please excuse the current mess, wanted a little more air for the 3870 and didn't get around to doing it properly yet.

I would try to get it annodized if you want to go all out HA would likely even hold up to scratches and dings better than PC.
