heres to praying that my board is taiwanese made, not chinese made! i buy Made In China stuff when im feeling like a gamble, but not when it's for my only computer which i really really really want to have up and running again...

I have the same NB overvolting issue ..... Watercooled.

Can this be fixed in a BIOS Update?

After further investigation I realized that I do NOT have this issue. Sorry for that

just received my replacement 9650 with a 12/07/2007 pack date...my previous one had a 11/21/2007...lets hope, for me, that the coretemp readout is within 3-4 +/- degrees...previously, core #0 was stuck on 51C.

ok...MUCH better with coretemp readouts between the old 9650 and new 9650 on the DFI board...this is at stock speed....posted the pics in this other thread....NOW...off to overclock.

What i have seen so far is that the MB´s Made in Taiwan didnt have the issue,i only know from people with this issue that have boards are Made in China.

My first board was from Taiwan, the second from China. They both had the issue and they both died within the first week. So I don't think it's a matter of where they came from (though I'd still prefer a Taiwan board ).

this hole thing reminds me of my old sista (dfi nf2 lp ultra b on my sig).

my china made wouldn't pass 230x10 as for my Taiwan made it would go stable 270x10.

But I can't complain from my china x38 its running a q6600 @ 4000mhz (9x444) with 2x1 ballistic 8500 @ 555mhz.

Wprime 1024 and s-pi32 stable so far.

Volts: vcore 1.489 vnn 1.55 vtt 1.43 vsb stock

The G.Skill memory and this board are starting to really agree with each other. This is at 2.1 volts.

Give me a few minutes to get them posted. All the voltages are higher then needed till I get the memory sorted.

This is using the 12/28 BIOS. Should be able to lower all the voltages at least a bit. If needed to help with memory stability raise tRP back to 5 and disable T2 Dispatch. Can also pick up some breathing room with Performance Level. It's set to 8 but all the phases but one are pulled in bringing it down to almost 7 flat.

Thanks but it's nothing I'm doing. This memory rocks for it's price.

There's nothing wrong with OCCT. A quick one hour run of it is a good indication of overall stability without spending hours with something else. No matter what is used to prove stability there will always be something else that will bring the system down.

crunch numbers for 24 hours in the background at 100% cpu load, if there is anything wrong your crunching program will find it.

I am addicted to crunching, and it is one helluva a way to check stability across the board, ram, cpu, psu, et. all.

whenver I set my pull in settings the same as praz, my board wont post, it only posts with the first set of pull-ins enabled
