Exclamation [New Version!!!] Hyper PI 0.99b - Super PI front-end

    Hi guys!

    NEW VERSION: 0.99b
    Official homepage

I'm developing a Super PI 1.5 front-end called Hyper PI for test purposes on multi-processor environments (stability or benchmark).

Run multiple instances of SPI (one for each processor) and configure the priority of the process easily (without Task Manager).
Take a snapshot of all instances at anytime with only one click (new format)!

    Stop Windows Services during test.

It's beta and need some beta-testers. So, if you wanna try, please download it:
    Hyper PI 0.99 Beta
    Hyper PI 0.99 Beta [Mirror]

No instalation needed. No virus, spywares or adwares. Includes Super PI 1.5 MOD XS (original untouched).

    Thank you!

    It works.

The real problem is spi itself and vista. If it is to continue to be a great benchmark, it has to work in the next generation window os. 32m will not work in vista.

I know many here don't like vista but I remember many 98 users hated xp when it came out.

edit: this thread belongs somewhere else, it's not Intel related.

    32M does work in Vista
there is a trick to it

put the SuperPi window on left upper side of the screen, select 32M test and that OK windows you need to move to upper right side of the screen and start it from there!

    it works

The Windows Vista incompatibility is related with the Audio service. You can temporarily stop/start this services using the following command-lines:

    net stop "AudioSrv"
    net start "AudioSrv"

Works fine as you can see in this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...p/t-54389.html

The snapshots are placed on snapshots folder.

    Thank you!

    Good idea, I like it.

Did I do something wrong or does it leave the super pi processes running after you exit Hyper Pi? After I ran two threads and closed out Hyper Pi, there was still two instances of Super Pi in task manager. Would be nice if it closed everything out when you exit.

Probably just an oversight. Nice work!

    I like it.

    multi threaded and good interface.

now just add a 64M and I'll call it perfect.
32M is just too damn easy these days.
32M use to feel like a monolithic challenge.
now its almost run of the mill.

    Good work!
My suggestion is to show all the results on one screen.

Or have the option of showing all four screens at once as would be displayed if 4 instances were run.

dont bother running it on vista.
man that was a pain in the ass.

it opens 10 different ones before I can close it.
takes over my OS, brining it to a crawl.
takes 2 minutes to make it stop spawning new instances of the program.
    works like crap on vista.
definatly need to rethink whatever your doing with this, and make it vista compatible.
like it or not... and I dont.... but vistas here to stay.
