It resets every day or two...
I got my present mobo just before Christmas. Apart from testing for the best strap, ram speed and of course clock, it has been running Orthos 24/7. Since getting an 8800 Ultra it has been benching, Orthosing and generally hammered 24/7. No Bsods, unprovoked restarts, nothing, it just runs. That is at 4.24ghz and under phase. My NF4 Ultra-D ran in the same way as well. Once you master a DFI and understand the relationship between all the ram settings, there just is'nt a faster or more stable mobo out there.

Me too, the DFI LP UT P35-T2R is a killer, solid, fast, super tweakable board & easily the best board I have had since my DFI NF4 Expert.

Everything I have put in contact with my P35-T2R is & has been maxed out with zero trade offs I simply cant ask for more!!!

The funny thing is my Asus P5K DLX was all be it screaming fast the worst board I have had in a long time & as it happened it wouldn't run for more than 2-3 days 24-7 before rebooting.

didnt have much time to play as on nightshift(bah) but it was BSOD right before entering windows on same settings that were fine with the QX6850. I also tried lowering FSB and raising Vtt to max values due to the huge droop with Yorkie and Vtt on this board but still the same. in the end I only had 5 minutes so just made sure it was stable on stock settings and the mrs informs me Prime is still running fine(6 hours or so) so at least that gives hope that can tweak it a little at a time and get a stable overclock going when i get some time, hopefully tomorrow.
it seems i have not any oc boot issues
but getting high front side bus is tough
on my go q66 480fsb np, now with 9650 (had it 3-4 hrs mind you) 380 x10 max fsb thank to unlock multi 4.4 np for bench
but as i said no funny boot oc issues for me,

Thanks for the heads up on this. Downloading now and will flash later today after this prime session is complete. This bios has totally replaced the 12/24 as that is no longer even listed as a download where as all previous beta bios are still listed for download. The reason of change may help those who are having issues clocking the new 45nm CPU's on this board??

    Major Reasons of Change:
Added 45nm CPU VTT Voltage control table.

There is a nominal VTT difference of 0.010 volts between 65nm and 45nm processors. This difference also has a direct effect on GTL reference values.

I also am on a qx 9650, on the first official with penryn support. 11-07 and so far all seems well, I do get the 88 code (but it does recover )if I try to set 11 multi though but 10 seems fine for now, just happy to have it running.
my x-38 didn't recover from 88 codes without a cpu swap .(and i use phase cooling, so that is a pain). after catching up in this thread I tried my p-35 and so far so good.

12/24 is here http://us.dfi.com.tw/Upload/BIOS/LP35DC24.ZIP it was upgraded to final/retail rather than staying BETA.

I put my spare chip in last night & swapped back from my E6850 to my Q6600 & it run prime blend all night @ 3.8GHz DDR 1190 its a good BIOS IMO.

Yea I went back and noticed it was now made official as well.

C-N that is one sweet overclock you got there. My gosh, 3.8ghz on a Quad core and 1190 on the ram. That system is something to be proud of. Here I am excited that I hit 3.4ghz on my Q6600 and then you come along...

I believe you can do better if that's a slacr Q6600, 3.4GHz on TRUE is somewhat average..

using the 12/27 BIOS im no longer having boot issues except the odd 88 error code but after powering off and back it its all good. however the quad is underperforming for sure so might give 1107 a go.

Thumbs up 1224 BIOS Works good

I finally got round to having a proper play with the 1224 BIOS & for me its a good one.

I find 1224 to be a tad slower clock for clock compared to my old favourite 1019 BETA BIOS which IMO is down to the memory being backed off a touch but apart from that its killer & its an official non BETA BIOS.

The BIOS template is attached if anyone can make use of it be my guest.

Here's my specs & settings for anyone thats interested.

@C-N: Nice one C-N..thanks for the info! i'm playing around with the 12/24 too. though you'd be strapping on the E6850. by the way, is it safe to keep than vDIMM @2.27v, NB Core @1.65v
    CPU VTT @1.60v?

    Thanks & your welcome.

TBH I sold off all my spare CPU's ready to get a 9650 but the money burnt a whole in my pocket, I figured I would get the E6850 to go with my P35-T2R so I could replace my old 875P-T file server when I got hold of an X38 board.

I am not so sure I will bother with x38 now as all I see is problems rather than advantages maybe I will wait for X48 maybe x48 will be better

I have had a quick play with the E6850 & I am real impressed with it, she runs nice @ 4GHz 1.475v DDR1250 2.31v on the 266 strap & it can bench some real nice numbers too.

What's your bios settings on that 4Ghz? is that your 24/7 clock?
Same here...i might skip the x38 & move on directly to the x48. & kinda uncertain between the 8500 or the 9650.

I only ran the E6850 overclocked for a couple of days so I don't really have any proper long term tested 24/7 settings. I did run it for 2 days @ 4GHz DDR 1200 after getting it 9 hours Orthos stable, my settings & screen shot are below same hardware just swapped Q6600 to E6850.

I didn't make any screen shots @ DDR 1250 but it was basically just the next strap/divider up tcl:5, trcd:5, trp:5, tras:10, all precharge to act: 5, trfc:26, read delay 6 vdimm:2.31v, vnb 1.65v & everything else the same as DDR 1200.

    I will probably sell the E6850 fairly soon & get a 8400/8500 & a 9*50 I just cant help myself
